The best place to add ground is the cylinder head, to ensure proper spark intensity..

Adding a ground to the front of the frame is pure japanese spec, I like to do ground the bonnet from the hinge area also which ensures a stronger ground to the front of the car (headlamps etc) - and to top it all it prevents electrolysis on the front edges of the bonnet.

i have 2 queries..
firstly is to ground is like taking wires from negative terminal n running them to different parts righT?i wonder how it gives extra spark n stuff???my main question is how grounding help in better performance and mileage??
2nd query is my alternator of car seems weak.mean it runs fine with only AC n HEADLIGHTS alone individually..but wen turn ac in night with headlites oon,headlights go dull n seem to go off....wats part of alternator is doing this problem?car runs fine with AC in morning time wen headlites are off but only problem arises in night...shud i get it changed or repaired???car is khyber....hoping for a good response.....

your spark plugs are tightened in the cylinder head - the centre electrode of the plug is the negative and the outer shell is the positive, IF you dont have a good grounded cylinder head - you may experience weak spark or sometimes missed spark..

Your alternator measures voltage from ground - and if it doesnt see a good ground connection it will not perform at optimum

Xulfiqar, you mentioned that the AC compressor should be sparkly clean.

A few days back I was wandering around in my small engine bay and after looking at the compressor thought the same, its covered in dust / grease and what not. How do we go about cleaning it, safely?

yep the compressor should be sparkly clean - it sheds its heat from its casing also - if its covered in muck and grime it will not cool down completely. To clean it spray with some degreaser - and work with a small brush to clean it - then wash with water

What about silicon on the terminal ?? As the solar system people applied silicon on my battery terminal

Hi Zulfiqar, Thanks for your nice advice, I have got Suzuki Baleno GTI 1.6 (2001) and I am having a trouble to start my car in the mornings, First I have been told Self need service, Spend 1300 no joy then again they said battery needs to replace, So I have done, but still same problem, My electrition advised me to unplug the Battery cable every night and I am doing this from last one month Now my car starts in the morning witjout having any trouble, I Want to know how I can fix this problem? Any Idea?

salam bro . i have Suzuki bolan i install 2 amps Kappa 202a @ channel with 4 Speaker 2 jbl and 2 pioneer and sundmugs 1500.01v with L5 12 inch butt when i finish installation my battery drain . i swith off my both amps and start the car and driver that round about 10 km but still i am facing problem kindly guide me do i need farad cap or need to check wring

If you have a stereo amplifier in your car - PLEASE for the love of God use a heavy duty fuse to connect it to the battery positive.

Xulfiqar Bhai i have a 1800 watts amp in my car.. where i have to connect the fuse ??.. please guide..
also i have installed a volt stabilizer and grounding kit in car.. all grounding are going from -ive of battery to the Chase , Ignition Coil and Engine body.. is it ok? or i have to change it.. waiting for your detail reply in this regard.
