The best place to add ground is the cylinder head, to ensure proper spark intensity..

Adding a ground to the front of the frame is pure japanese spec, I like to do ground the bonnet from the hinge area also which ensures a stronger ground to the front of the car (headlamps etc) - and to top it all it prevents electrolysis on the front edges of the bonnet.

Need help, every time I stop the car after a long drive and when open the door and as soon as I get my foot out of the car and if my hand is still on the door or touching car body it gives me a "tight" shock. Once in the night I have even seen the blue spark traveling from the car body into my hand. It pisses me off greatly. How can this be rectified.

open engine and inspect is there any wire touch the wall of engine room probably it would be ground wirring and to wear glove before playing with wires

I dont see what sort of wire that is, but I do see a really really poor negative battery terminal, it looks like something that was made in 5 minutes at the side of a highway with nothing else around.

Please also buy a correct expansion tank cap, this loose pipe can cause a sudden cooling system failure without warning.

Thanks for the suggestion, that tank cap was lost by the mechanic and I found it few weeks later and couldn't find it in market. And I didn't know about the quality of the terminal and will change it sooner. Thanks!

hehehe @xulfiqar, nylon or woolen clothing will kill any one in Karachi.. I wear normal cotton clothes.. there is some problem with the car wiring that is giving these shocks...I just don't know where the problem lies...

It might be your shoes rubbing on the mats generating the static electricity. Try a different pair of shoes.

Guys this is not a random mild shock that I am talking about. Its a mini "jolt" that shakes you up and it pisses me off. There is something wrong with the wiring and it happens mostly when I turn off the car get out of it and close the door with my hand by pushing the metal part of the door.

This occurs more often in dry weather and can increase or decrease based on the type of clothing I'm wearing. It also depends on the seat fabric, floors mats, dashboard material and dusting cloths inside the car.
