Raikot glacier with dangerous crevices


When we saw raikot Glacier we wanted to cross it. We asked guide if he could lead us towards other side of glacier. Guide told us that glacier is not safe for tourists because it has many dangerous crevices and also water is flowing beneath the glacier in the form of different channels. Glacier has many weak places and one can?t distinguish whether this place is weaker or safer.

We had to cancel our plan.

First experience on snow


It was our first experience on snow. First we were hesitant to walk on snow but soon our confidence restored :).

View point to Base camp track is awesome


Trekking experience from fairy meadows till view point was great but the real fun came later :). Trekking from view point to base camp was really awesome. There was no distinct track. Sometimes we were trekking on snow, sometimes in water and sometimes on stones. Each and every move on this trek was exciting. We really enjoyed this hiking.

Peaks in clouds


Up till now we used to experience sunny weather in day times but now as we were approaching base camp we saw clouds coming from nanga parbat. But the clouds remained around the peaks and weather was still sunny. In fact nature gave us chance to take snaps of peaks hidden in the clouds.

Our guide told us that there are two types of glaciers. One is male and other one is female . Glacier of pure snow is male whereas the other glacier which is mixture of mud and snow is female glacier. Ab asal haqiqat ka to koi geologist hi bta skta hai

Yes its really considered like that i have also observed it in Bindogol (chitral) where locals have artificially created a Glacier using this phenomena..
