A serious fraud from a Pakwheel member Vyrus (Ali haider)

I am from Karachi. I bought a Honda d15b engine from this Pakwheel member Vyrus (Name : Ali haider) last year in Sept 2011 and gave him full payment at the same time.

He took out this engine from his car and then I swapped it in my car. Now I want to transfer the engine number on my car's book but the guy in Civic center is saying its already in use and can't transfer it unless Vyrus (Ali haider) transfer his new engine. its because Vyrus (Ali haider) haven't transferred the new engine he installed on his car's book so the computer is having old number (which is now in my car). And 2 engine numbers at same time is illegal.

It's been a year now and Vyrus (Ali haider) is not interested in transferring another engine on his book.

He is not answering my calls and messages. When I go to his home he says I can't go to Civic center that area is unsafe and says it will take some more time (lame excuse). Sometimes he says that he don't have money (lame excuse)and look he's building a 95 civic Turbo with Honda B16/ B20 engine and no money for my most important work. He is also not giving me the engine receipt which is in the cars file (engine was bought from shershah).He says he missed it.

Kindly suggest me the solution of this problem because I want to sale my car ASAP and can't sell it without the new engine number registered. Thanks.

Tricky situation, as per me you have 3 options here

1 which you already described.
2 you sell this engine and get another one
3 if you have acess to old engine then cut its plate where engine number is mentioned and weld it on the new one(it is in practice and know a guy who did this and running his ride for years without any problem.

Further more i think you can do legal action against virus becasue his ride is running using method 3 which i mentioned above which is illegal and can be proven.

Oh what a pleasant surprise. Please also do disclose the price you bought the stuff for HABIB :).

Now since you like to tell every little detail, Habib, it's fair enough I do my part aswell.

Please mention the fact that I gave you my own NIC with my signature in pen + the cars ENGINE NUMBER AND REGISTRATION NUMBER AT MY PLACE. Wonder what kind of a fraudster would do that.

Please do mention the fact that you tried to cheat me using a BLANK 50 RUPEE LEGAL PAPER. I'm not an idiot Habib, to sign over a blank legal paper.

Now comes the agent part. Frankly speaking I don't trust any Pakistani 'agent'. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I clearly told him many times I can't change it asap but will try my best to get it done. Unfortunate things happened and you can't help it.

You see throwing around allegations is easy, but please do complete every bit of detail when you do that.

I fortunately have a life and a very good one. I had exams, a car build going on and pretty much stoked with work and study. When I say I can't visit the area, I mean it.

2cndly waqar bro its not something big try to resolve it easily if vyrus doesnot seems interested in easy way then just file a police report and bcs of police report vyrus will be in great trouble and will have to pay many more bucks

People Pakwheels is providing us a platform here to buy/sell dicuss and interact with different people from different areas but every type of person is in every platform so its you yourself who have to play safe while buying
If i would have been in place of waqar i would have not paid full amount untill the engine was transfered on my name.it was his kindness tht he paid full

Sir it was MY kindness that I gave him the engine for such a cheap price. I wasn't even interested in selling it, he insisted. As for police reports and what not you're most welcome :).

P.s the guys name is HABIB and is using dupicate IDs.

Vyrus is indeed virus. Listening to all the story "vyrus" is at fault here and instead of being smart *** he should try to solve this matter as soon as possible and by the way nice topi about civic area.. Or PW should ban this vyrus thing so that he may not attempt to do fraud with others. And about the cheap engine and thankfull thingy, you sold it for price, a lal and blue paper was paid to you..

selling something at whatever low price or even for free does not justify not going through legal paperwork. e.g. If either one of these cars are inspected for number match by cops then it would be a headache and a half, because after that its not a simple case of transfer.

I had to face such issues in my VW - when the car was imported into Pakistan some numbskull put the head casting part no. as engine number. All VW diesel heads using hydraulic lifters have that part number. My case was a mistake by the registering authorities but - yours is not. Best for both of you to solve it quick. Otherwise both cars can become worthy of police yard.
