I am also really amazed at HOW CIVIC CENTRE area is bad - I have some relatives living in Hasan Square Apartments, and when I lived there I crossed it at least 2 times a day.. What sort of danger is he talking about - its about as dangerous as Zainab Market in rush hour.

The basic identity of car is chassis number, not the engine number.

In Pakistan both are used (silly I know). they got this idea from the time of the Raj - old english metal had similar chassis and engine numbers. So it could be picked up from either in a case of recovery.

Yes, this seems the practice in Pakistan only. That is why on import documents of a car, engine number is not mentioned.

It has nothing to do with karachi, its about population of karachi. Karachi is highly densely populated area. With almost 2.5 crore of population there may be many rotten eggs present in it. And if you see many members on any public forum of pakistan are from Karachi. SO taking out population to rotten eggs ratio its almost same everywhere. However karachi is being vicitmized due to its large population size.

@Waqar_Uae, It seems that you have dealt with a very rude and arrogant person and I can understand your situation because last year one of my second cousin faced the similar one.

Civic centre isn't save area?? any karachiite will hesitate to go there?? OMG which karachi he is talking about??

My suggestion to u waqar is that take sm legal action, contact some police sources or if ur hesitate in doing it, so i would say that you are also a karachiite, go for some thing hard ( u can understand what I mean).. after all latoon kay bhoot baaton se..........
