Both friends of mine got exhausted after reaching there, Hassan in front is very exhausted and just after 30 minutes of our arrival he insisted to go back, and Mr. Irfan in the back he has a severe HEADACHE, since we cross Rohtas Fort, so he is also insisting me to go down as early as possible, and due to this i was not able to take more pictures and i have to skip to visit next hill which has few more worship tombs just above that pool, and also i was not able to see that TDCP building from front side, and the only 4X4 jeepable track that was in front of that hut.

So we had our sandwiches there that we took with us have some water, took couple of self timer shots there and left for trek down towards our car.

I was taking pictures up there, and they both are ahead of me, after 10 minutes i suddenly appeared from back and call them, they instantly look back and i capture that shot

Just the finish of Trek and a start of a Village from upper side and a Mosque can be seen, with a wide space, where we came in start on our car, and after taking some pictures we go down and parked our car.

Using the very route from where you turned back, I went up to the top of the Tilla. It was back in 1999. Back then I was on my beloved and now fondly remembered Suzuki Potohar. I have no update on the route condition after that but looking at some of the pictures you posted it seems there has been no change. You made a wise decision to turn back. This was one of the worst off road tracks I had travelled then. People who have experience with Potohar know that it has a very good ground clearance but at this route even Potohar managed to bottom out at a number of places.

BTW pictures are good and especially narration and explanations that you have given are detalied. This is quite rare on PW travel forum.

As you know you are the source of inspiration for me, i already explored all of your pics on Flicker, and after visiting your pictures and a detail of your trip to Tilla Jogian on this forum, we planned our trip there on 10th March this year, and last Sunday i also did a trip to Neelwan Pools that was also based upon your exploration / information that i got from you and your pictures, you are great sir JEE !!!

Yes of course this route was much better than any other route like the route you chose from Domail side, this route was 15 to 20 km drive from Rohtas Fort, road was not so good but any normal car can reach through this road to BAITH VILLAGE, (you can see the road condition in the pictures that i will post) this village is right below this hill, you can park your car to any local house after getting their permission, and can trek upto the hill within 2 to 2.5 hours, but it took us 3 hours as we were new into trekking

The trekking route is very beautiful, you can enjoy the whole trek, i will suggest anyone who is going there for treking, they should come from this route and should start their trek from BAITH Village.

I came to know from facebook that one organised trip of 13 peoples from Lahore (Defence), also came there on the same day, but they chose some other route and they could not make it, and they went back from half way.

Road is still as it is as you have described, i did research of this forum for tilla joggian before going there, i found couple of trips to that place, one of them was on motor Bikes and one was a group of 4X4 vehicles, and in their pictures you can have an idea of road conditions, links are:

he has posted detail about TDCP rest house and he has mentioned that;
( I have the cell no of the chowkidar and can share it if anyone is interested. )

his complete post is like this;

( We reached the village aroung maghrib and luckily met the chowkidar of the rest house who had just returned. His name is malik Ashfaq Awan and was kind enough to agree to take us on the historic trek used by the jogis. It was a 3 hours of steep climb and we managed it luckily with the help of 3 excellent torches.

Once at the top we noticed that we had reached sooner than most bikers and they were still struggling on the rough track.

Most of the people warned me that "Yeh Babaji nahin pahar par charh sakte" but with the Grace of allah SW I managed reasonably well.
Many participants have posted there pics on FB page of MAP please do check. Some of them were professional photographers and caught exceptional images.
I will try to post my pics which arent as good though.
I have the cell no of the chowkidar and can share it if anyone is interested.

Into the start of the village, where camel is parked and just below at the side of the camel a number of local women were preparing their ROTIES for the dinner at one Tandoor, that was a very traditional look and feel of a typical village, but i did not took their picture, you can understand why they were too many and i was alone ....... berri kuttt perni thee
