Getting rear shocks replaced. Bought KYB Japanese New shocks. Its next to impossible finding good used shocks. Looked for used ones in Chah Sultan as well. Opened a pair which looked great outside. But the shocks once out of springs were weak. Anyways decided on buying a new pair tension free. These KYBs are tried and tested. Replaced the front pair for my last CL9 as well. So will do good Inshallah.

Personally the worst experience I've had with kabli parts is with shocks (in my previous cars). From now on I'll never try kabli shocks. Sometimes I get the feeling that my Accord's rear shocks are going, but the number of things you'd have to get opened up in order to replace them - no way, I'll only replace until I'm convinced they are completely gone.

I have been planning to change my car since a few months. However, was waiting on a payment. Receiving it today. Would really appreciate if you guys can guide me over a few things.
What are the optional features in a CL9 that i should be checking for? As there are a lot of variants. And which options are the most useful ones.
I like using amps and woofers. Is the original music system good, and does it have mp3/usb? And can i attach a rear view cam to it? If i decide to put in a pioneer system in with, how bad a decision is it?
What is the cost of new shocks? I usually travel a lot and will probably change the shocks if i feel doubtful about them lasting more than just a few thousand km.
I live in islamabad and i will highly appreciate if any of you can tell me of a mechanic who can check the car and tell me in detail if it has any serious problems, conditions of seals, repaint etc. Most sellers dont tell the truth about condition of the car and i would prefer an expert opinion.
I know the post has gone long, so last question. Why not go for a cl7 instead of a cl9? It is less powerful, 2000cc is still a powerful engine. Does cl7 feel under powered or is it good too? Coz most of the people tell me that difference is of doubke exhaust and 2400 cc engine in cl9. If i can save a bit of money, without sacrificing too much, should i go for cl7?

^This is what a full-spec'd out Honda Accord CL9 looks like. CL9 is the only way forward my friend, CL7 should only be considered if you're getting majority of specifications mentioned above - in comparison to a bone-stock CL9.

Yes all feature's are recommended - That Premium Sound System (if original) trust me will exceed your expectations by a great margin.

Brother you can get a CL9 ranging from 0.8million to 1.8million all depending on condition, specifications and maintenance.

There was a time when I had CL7 and 8th Gen civic both in the garage. And I've drag-raced multiple times only to discover that the CL7 is always 2-3 car gap ahead of the civic due to its slightly shorter gearing.

So a CL7 never feels under-powdered until you drive the CL9....and then you'll regret not buying the 9. Prices vary by a huge margin and there is no yardstick for reference.

There's quite a lot of discussion done already regarding what to inspect in a car. Do lookup for that and good luck!

As already said by @munirhusain and @ali.iqbal1 CL9 should be the only option that you look for. The major attraction that this car offers other than its premium features and experience, is acceleration: and that you can truly enjoy in a CL9 only.
Always look for the max number of goodies in a car to enjoy the overall experience as listed by @ali.iqbal1 above but not at the cost of engine and transmission condition.
The Honda premium sound system has an inbuilt 6 cd changer. Has an inbuilt reverse cam. Controls all featutes of the car including ac and shows the mileage screen as well. It does not have option for mp3/USB/Aux but you can use an add-on player as a slave with this system.
Regarding the things to inspect: checks a few posts above or better yet, go through the thread for more insight.
New shocks are advised. New KYB (Japan) pair is around 12-15ks.

I'm considering of letting go of my CL nowadays for some personal reasons though I'm still undecided.

You can let me know your budget first, if it's somewhere around my expectation I'll get back to you. A complete tranny change will cost you under 1lac - depending on what exactly needs changing as well.

Acha I've had serious issues with ground clearance. My CL9 stands just right, as you've seen in pics - and it's the frame that hits, not some pipe or anything. And this is even with 1 or 2 people on board.

By comparison, Turbo ground clearance is another level! Don't know if you feel the same difference.

I was in the same position back in 2015 - CL7 or CL9 anyone could have done. Went for CL9, and now in hindsight I thank my lucky stars!! I've heard there's negligible difference in consumption. Then I got the Civic Turbo - if I had the CL7, it would have bored me now but thankfully I went for CL9. So you never know what will happen in future, hence go for CL9 with max features.

Personal preference is most important so if you're not bothered about power, go for CL7. Same applies for features, but unfortunately my CL9 has the least features. I'm not bothered about that as I bought CL9 only for the drive and here in Karachi the cameras and navis can become a burden due to excessive theft etc.
