I was a huge fan of Thai Accord and was also considering it along with CL7. After buying CL9 I learned that Thai Accord has K24A4 which is significantly less powerful than the K24A3 in CL9. Not to mention that Thai Accord being sold here is like a PKDM and has much less options than the JDM CL7s and CL9s being sold here.

My previous CL9 was bone stock without any body kits or spacers. Never faced any clearance problems. This one has body kits as well as spacers. Havent faced any clearance issues travelling from Kci to Isd. But have to be careful now. So far so good.

Exactly. For me, Thai accord is a turn-off due to these reasons.

That's strange because my experience is totally contrary to you guys' experiences. Accord is the worst car I've kept as far as ground clearance is concerned. My previous daily driver was a Dewan Lancer which I was running with Maxspeed lowering springs. Even that wasn't this bad. As I've said it's the frame that hits - nothing else. That's why there hasn't been any damage yet even though I've hit it's belly multiple times. Strange.

Maybe the Type S suspension setup is different? - I'm just making a wild guess.

I also faced no issue with ground clearance even with body kit. It 24TL package.

However currently I have 55 size tyres.

Wow! Hard to believe what you guys are saying! If it was a dangling exhaust pipe or body kit or something, I'd think there's something wrong with my car. But as I said, it's the frame. Stock wheels and tires and, as you can see, seems to have the correct stance too. And of course I don't carry ANY extra thing in my cars, ever. I'm baffled.

@ali.iqbal1 bhai that's why I asked you because I feel a big difference between ground clearance of Civic X and CL9.

For me the ground clearance of Civic X and CL9 are equally good tbh brother - And what I'm finding funny is that I believe our ride height seems to be identical as well - only difference is I have 215-50/R17 and yours are 45 I believe.

Another thing which you mentioned before about the steering being stiff in your case - in mine its quite the opposite.

Yeah I have 215/45R17. Hard to believe because Civic steering is MUCH lighter and Civic ground clearance is MUCH better. Other than shocks (which I believe are ok and never got replaced after buying) everything in CL9 suspension is up to scratch.

Any suspension changes made by the previous owner?

• Civic steering is indeed much lighter - In comparison to other cars CL9's is right there with them.

• Ground clearance is equally good - That's something interesting considering yours is different.

Nahin yar, I can literally list out everything (other than shocks):

• Advan dB 215/45R17 which I got new
• OEM rims, wheels balanced
• OEM brake pads, discs polished, brake oil flushed
• All wheel bearings replaced with OEM
• Axles fine, no vibration, sound or leakage
• Lower arms fine, their bushes fine
• All other suspension bushes fine
• Ball joints, no play
• Both rack ends replaced with OEM ones
• Steering rack boots fine, no sounds, no codes

Car is non option one so should be lighter. No CNG ever, even body kit is factory one, only spoiler is aftermarket. Stock sound system, stock engine, I mean I can't think of anything other than shocks/springs.

In fact I even went to a couple of different mechanics just to get their input on shocks and both said they're fine.

So much so that I'm planning a road trip in June and ground clearance might be the main factor which makes me take Civic instead of Accord.

Your clearance looks similar to mine. I guess karachi breakers are bigger than Islamabad breakers. My tyres are 55 though.

Yeah I guess that's the conclusion! Tire size also has a slight part maybe.

Even I've never faced ground clearance issues. Partly because my tire profile is higher with 16 inch but still. Is yours type S by any chance? Because type S has lowered and stiffer suspension
