Exactly! Thai versions got a detuned version of the K24 motor making around 170 hp. The car is bigger, heavier hence slower.

Rahat Bhai, even I had to face ground clearance issues and mine was on 15 inchers with 195/65. 3 people in the car with a tank full of gas and those nasty big speed bumps were waiting to scrap the chassis.

Does anyone have exact coolant temp and idle rpm readings. I've connected an OBDII device and was wondering what are the optimum readings. I was shocked to see temp readings going upto 108°C at idle. Fan kicks on around 105 and what about idle rpm. Here are mine after a 20-30 minute drive. Any insight guys?

All I can say is, my idle RPM is 650, fully warmed up and AC off.

Don't know about coolant temp, but I've noticed that my CL9 has more of a tendency to kick on its fan at idle than any other car I've ever kept. Which means it does get bit warm at idle. It's not as if it kicks on its fan regularly, but I'm saying that without AC I hardly ever heard any car I've kept turning on its fan (other than Mehran). But with CL9 I do hear the fan at idle (without AC of course) sometimes.

Good to hear 650 is normal idle. Coz normally its around 900 for other cars. Mine's also around 650 on warmed up car. I think everything's fine.
Just have to check the fan On temp and max temp during idle on warmed up car. 108°C was giving me the creeps yesterday.

On the contrary I think mine is not turning on the fan enough. At idle temp rises above 100. While driving it stays around 90s. During idle after a drive, It turns on around 105°C for around 20 sec intervals then turns off. The temp hovers around 105,107,109 which i think is on the higher side. The fan should take it back to 90s in my opinion. Fan isnt turning on enough...

Following the same old routine with this one. Filling and draining distilled water after 2-3 days use. Followed this cycle 5 times now. Before the fifth fill i used Liquimoly radiator cleaner. Seems quite effective. Drain has started to come out clean. Flushed the radiator with garden hose to completely remove this cleaner. Plan on draining once more. Then ill fill the coolant.

Already thinking about Liquimoly n Mobil1. Presently I am using Total 5w30 SN, fully Synthetic (imported Golden Box). Honda uses Total Oil by default so I thought it would be ok. I like 5w30 grade. Isnt 5w40 too thick. Checked it out on my last visit to Liquimoly shop. This is not fully synthetic.

Yup, referring to the one down below. Honestly don't know about the thickness or viscosity or evaporation-rate (not an expert, probably have to refer to a Technical Data Sheet) - though I can say it performs quite well. Car's been running smoother and quieter ever since I started using this. It has a API rating of SM 2010 and below which makes it quite appealing for the CL9.

Thankyou. Car is really clean. Some parts showered though. No mechanical problems. Has following issues:

Panel lights dont work. They turn on when the panel is pressed down hard. I think its a wiring issue. Will get it checked. How much would a new panel cost?

One front hid is not working. Can i find new original hid of cl9 in market?

I am thinking of installing a spoiler. How much would that cost and what is the best place to get one in islamabad?

Rest everything major is in perfect condition.
