sir office politics, i wanted to go for Accord as my office car but few jealous individuals played their cards and created "ohhh its old and insurance would be this and that and blah blah blah" and than it became kind ego issue for me getting a Cultus/Wagon-R/Swift .... so now i am quietly saving up to fulfill my dream (fingers crossed, hopefully) .... bad part is that in anticipation / preparation i sold my Vitz so i am without a vehicle now days ... I haven’t found one clean fully loaded sunroof option CL9, closest I got is a fabric basic version with the original mileage, my dream was finding a dark blue purple CL9 but haven’t seen one for sale in good nick plus not many UK imports CL9 for sale either as they were without any delimiter.

The one I had rounded off only one passed the checks might just grab it inshallah next week in Lahore.

Hilarious car I saw was a maroon diesel accord manual converts to K24 auto. The guy was how do u know it was a diesel... I Simply said it say2.2 ctdi in the rear plus know a thing or 2 about accords.

2003-2005 models did not come with bluetooth. I think facelift model had bluetooth.

I am not sure wat these buttons are for. Maybe commanding the navigation system. The phone buttons might work on some local japanese telephone network.

Gonna change the tires today or tomorrow. Continetal or Michelin? which is more quiet? And current tire size is 215 45 17. Should i stick to same size?

Go with Continental MC5 with your eyes closed - 215/50-R17 - And please don't get that bodykit, it'll definitely get destroyed sooner or later. OEM kits are easier to maintain as they have a decent ground-clearance in comparison to after-market ones. @fahdahmad @Rahat083144 - Both can easily add further with their experiences with the bodykit.

Yes OEM body kit is much less prone to scraping than these aftermarket. You can from the shape yourself. My car has scraped its belly countless times, but never ever got even close to having the bodykit damaged.

As for tires, here's the options:

1) Conti MC5 - more sports oriented
2) Conti UC6 - less sports, more comfort relatively (CC6 is most comfort oriented, and UC sits between CC and MC)
3) My fav Yoko Advan dB

I'd be surprised if even Conti CC beats Yoko Advan dB in terms of quietness. Problem is that Yoko V552 has just arrived (V551 is older model now). So most V552 is currently smuggled and much more expensive than Contis, from what I've asked around.

Currently I'm running Yoko Advan dB V551 215/45R17, but if I change them I might go for 215/50R17. This is because firstly, 215/45 is hardly available in the market now, secondly, while these Yokos are definitely soft, 45 sidewall is too small to absorb bumps. Thirdly, even though I'm very much against increasing tire size, but 215/50 being ever so slightly taller, would give me a bit more ground clearance.

I talked to the guy. The kit is made of fiberglass so not buying it anyways. Will keep looking for the genuine one.

It is difficult to find non smuggled advan db here. Mostly places have yoko blue earth and i dont like that tire. I will try to find uc6 tomorrow, otherwise would go for mc5.

The japanese cars came with a phone set. If you check the arm rest compartment, you will find a small port in it for the phone. These buttons used to control that phone. It is not bluetooth. So i dont think you can connect current phones with that port.

I heard Tyre Point Lahore is the place to go for Contis. The size you're looking for, much more likely to find UC than MC. Remember MC is more grip oriented whereas UC is supposed to be more of a balance between comfort and grip.

Personally, tread pattern is also a huge consideration for me. Hate the CC tread pattern and don't like the MC pattern either. To my eyes, the UC and Advan dB (especially V552) is beautiful!

My Accord dBs also getting old now so I might replace by the end of the year. The hateful BGs on Civic Turbo will also be 2 years old in December. So I might also replace both cars' tires by the end of the year.

Yup. It's come to the point where begum (who daily drives the Turbo, and generally doesn't let me spend a dime on cars) told me that Turbo is literally skating, please consider changing its tires. Never thought I'd hear that!

And honestly, when they were new, I couldn't tell a hell of a difference between the noise BGs were generating, compared to Yokos on Accord. Lately though, Turbo seems like a noise monster, compared to the soundless Accord, mainly because of the hateful tire roar. Advan dBs have a habbit of humming sometimes, but I'd much rather have a humming tire than a roaring tire.
