Advice required for sound system for LC80

Hello guys! Need help in choosing good speakers for 80 series Land Cruiser. From what I know, the front speakers are 5 1/4" coaxials while rear door speakers are 4" coaxials and 3rd row ceiling speakers are 3.5". But I've also seen people on online forums claiming that they've installed 6 or 6 1/2" inch speakers in the front and rear doors. If any one of you has installed speakers in an 80 series, please confirm the size of speakers I can install in the doors. Another thing : What is the size of the front Dash speakers?
Edit: I've now decided to ditch the OEM speaker grill if I can fit larger speaker that way.

Bro. I am running original speaker setup with a chinese touchscreen. Works well for the inside. Nothing spectacular but decent. When I was getting the touchscreen, I enquired about boosting up the system and was told that I would require bigger speakers with amp meaning alterations which are a no no for my jeep. Woofer I never asked as I would have to carry a box and that hampers my space and load carrying capacity. I will be going for same size speaker upgrade with a pioneer touch screen In Sha Allah in a couple of months time. Will keep you posted.

Boss I'm running a Chinese touchscreen as well with the front speakers only. There are a few videos on YouTube on upgrading the sound system on an 80 series which may help you with your plan.

Hey bro...I would love to help you out but kindly tell what exactly are your requirements....you are just looking for decent upgrades or a high end system and would you be willing to do additional installs or mods (amp, sub etc)?

In addition to that, seeing that it's an LC80 I'm sure that you do take the beauty out for some offroading which also is a factor as the speakers need to be pretty rugged and preferably water resistant to stand true to the ride. So, let me know what are you looking for so that I can guide you as best as I can in my capacity.

And if it's just an upgrade from OEM than I will straightaway suggest you Polk Audio DB522 DB+ for the front and Polk Audio DB402 DB+ for the rear ones. These have a rugged build and have Marine certification which is a handy thing if you are a serious offroader and your cruiser comes into contact with humidity often. Plus they are very easy to install with very little changes needed in your vehicle. I have suggested these simply for the fact that it's a Land Cruiser which you may be doing offroading with. Otherwise if you are looking for good sound quality or good bass etc etc I can give some better suggestions (let me know about your reuirements)

Both of these are coaxials and will cost you about 40k(2 front 2 rear speakers) to import from abroad.

And as far as I know the dash speakers of LC80 are also 4 inches (not sure though).

For third row installation, I would again suggest you Polk Audio DB351 (same reason as above). They will cost you around 16k for importing a pair.

Need something good but not too expensive. I have an amp but will need a subwoofer. Currently I was thinking of getting 2 pairs JBL GTO609C premium components, 1 pair JBL GX302, A JBL Stadium 1224 12" subwoofer. But they're oversized.
I basically need something that will give crisp clear vocals and a good amount of bass when needed.

Alright. Now I have a bit of an idea. If you are going for components you can have good components for the front, that too of the size of your vehicle i.e 5.25 and 4 inch
For good quality sound I would suggest RockFord Fosgate R152-S 5.25" Components for the front (JBL GTO609C will cost somewhat between 20-25k whereas RockFord are 30k)

JBL GX302 are 16k a pair. I would suggest you Kicker 41DSC44 (14k a pair).

I dont know if you can easily find JBL Stadium 1224 easily. Its online price is listed around $185 (importing it might increase the price a bit)

I would suggest Planet Audio AC12D. It's good for using in a sealed enclosure (for good sounding bass). It will cost you 31k for importing it. Edit: It wont wake up your neighbours if that's what you are planning to do .

Importing and price isn't much of an issue.
The Rockford speakers that you mentioned, will they do the job?
Also, between JBL Stadium 1224 and planet audio AC12D, which one is better?

Yes they will do the job well. I have seen people install 6.5 inch speakers in LC80. But it may make your job difficult to install them. You may have to do some custom fabrication for that.
Obviously the Rockford(45 watt) wont be as loud as the JBL 609s(75 watt) but they would sound good enough. And are the same size as the mounting space requires. If you wish to install 6.5 inch comps then you can go for 609s.

If you compare the woofers than Planet audio is definitely louder than JBL almost double as loud. And if you install a monoblock amp and a ported box then you can have a loud enough system to wake the neighbours. Here are their power handling specs
Planet Audio AC12D :-
Peak Power Handling. 1800 Watts. RMS Power Handling. 900 Watts.
JBL 1224 Stadium:-
Power Handling 500W RMS, 1500W peak power handling

And to power the complete system you should have 2 amps. 1 for the speakers (4 ch) and a monoblock for the sub

But you should have a clear budget for the build. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. You can get a car shaking Sundown woofer (for the price of 3 JBL 1224s). It is all about what you are willing to spend on everything. And if you want your build to be SQ or SPL. Can you give me an exact budget for everything. I may be able to guide you better that way.
