Advice required to lengthen garage

So we bought a house in bahria recently, i parked my city easily and civic with a little effort. I thought it had enough space but now as i intend to buy a Gli i tried parking it and the gate won't close
I never knew gli was more lenghty than civic.
Now can i make some modifications to the garage to get 5-6 inches more? I'm sure you'll come up with an idea, don't want to park it outside.

Any other car worth buying which can fit? Except city. Budget is final and alr have city.

I dont know how vigilant bahria town people are.. But a simple trick can help you.. Which is building law voilation..

You can extend the gate 6-12 inches outside its common thing people do in houses which have small parking space..

Call anyone who makes metal gates he will explain everything

let the pics come... standard garage size for two cars in bahria 10M home is 20'x16'. (L x B) .this is the size of my garage. 1 vezel and 1 grande are easily parked in it. using sliding gate. garage for 1 car should be atleast 8'x16'....reborn is 5'6"x 15'6" approx

ur only option can be sliding gate installed outwards

The solution is to redesign ur gate. From side pillars, make a metallic extension few inches outside. this will be at 90 degree to the closed gate. Tie the same gate to that metallic extension. This will give u few inches space (It is a bit difficult to explain in words but I hope u understand to some extent). In this way there will be no violation of rules.

I get what you are trying to say, but would it hurt the pillar? I mean the metallic holders are currently in the centre for stability.

So the length of the garage is 15 ft and length of corolla is 15.2 there's a pillar upfront which is taking space but nothing can be done to it.

You need to move the four gate hinges up and line the gate with the red line , only then you can get a max 5-6 extra inches

One doable thing without getting any objections from the Bahria Housing authority (as it wont be permanent structure). Open the both sides of doors apply latch/kundi in ground there. Add another gate on the opening. If anybody objects, you can fold the outer door inside and close the door as it does right now. Hope you get the idea.

Haha, we were thinking about this yesterday, to let the gate open and put some kind of shutter or heavy chain between the open space, or even a little gate, view would be affected but blah. Im more content to put some chains and shutter than a folding gate though(how will it fold insidewhen the car is parked?)
I think fixing the gate outwards can draw their attention.
