Aftermarket Fuel Pump - Share your experiences please

Assalam O Alaikum

My vehicle is a Suzuki Cultus(Carb). So I am thinking of getting a fuel pump installed in my tank, currently it's in the engine room. My question is are these aftermarket pumps decent? Do they perform well or keep throwing petrol at an immense rate. Umer autos guy are selling one for 1800 PKR and say that it performs well and they haven't got any complaint so far. I am confused if should I go for it or it is possible to get hands on the genuine pump that is being sold at Plaza.

I guess the stock Cultus carb has a Mechanical Pump with the engine. Why do you want to change it. Pumps in EFI cars are in Fuel Tanks and they are Controlled by the ECU. If you think that the pump you just mentioned will increase the fuel efficiency or the performance of the engine then the answer is not it wont have any effect

no in carby cultus fuel pump is electronic and inside the tank.
you can install external pump inside tank if you want.

It comes inside the tank. The one we put in engine bay is kind of a jugaar but it worked well for me especially when I go on northern tours with my family, I use to keep 1 in my dashboard and man it did saved me a lot of time. But now since the last remaining one is having a little issue I think I should replace it with an in-tank pump. But my mechanic keeps on saying that the 1850 will not work for long and its better to buy a kabli one. The problem now is none of these whether Kabli, genuine new or Chinese comes with no warranty.

i recently installed brand new Made In Japan fuel pump of HKT brand in my 2004 Baleno. cost was 3800 and the same fits in many cars including Civic models, Baleno, Liana, Cultus. chinese were for 1000 and Malaysian Leppon for 1800. i installed Kabli before and it was useless so i threw it out

Kabli fuel pumps are a waste of money and complete khuwari. I agree with that @abid110

While I don't doubt HKT to be good but I doubt if factory fitted pump has the same pressure as HKT because I think it's different for each of the models you stated.

on petrol it works as it should.

btw, what other options of fuel pump do you have in market? please increase my knowledge in this as i already got tough time in searching the perfect one for my car back then. i dont think there will be any chance of finding any brand new Denso made in Japan thing in open market. dealership will also sell you any japanese brand bought from local shops by adding +100% profit + gst+further levies...

Same issue bro...there are no options....Hkt seems to be the only option and that too because of the name JAPAN who knows if it genuinely from a japanese manufacturer...same about dealership who are charging 60k plus tax....but i'd rather not be stranded on the road....running the car on cng for now...but sooner or later cng destroys the butterfly aur phir engine pay asar aur phir aur kharcha
