I have been driving in Karachi for more than 16 years now and due to my extensive travelling within the city, i have dealt with almost all breeds of corrupt police walas. I have been stopped for driving

without license,
without registration book,
giving out smoke,
shades on the back windows,
expired excise tax,
eating chip,
cold drink (they didnt ask for anything just cold drinks which i bought them),
Accused of drinking (I never Drink!)
Accused of smoking pot ( I never do!)
stopped for driving with a girl (on sunsaan road)

There are a countless number of times when i was stopped and despite irregularities i was let go only because i gave them respect and requested for "maafi".

But then i again when i was stopped because i was eating chips really pissed me off and the random number f times when i was stopped between 2-4AM and accused of drinking. I used to tell them sir meri shakal he aisi ha.

I am surprised over the behavior of ISB police though, the last time i was in ISB on LHR registered city, i went thru a million nakkas even the ones near red zone where we were staying. We were three guys and would normally ask Nakkas for direction. Same experience with driing on KHI registered vehicle in LHR & ISB... never bothered....

Worst police IMO can be found between HYD & Bahalwalpour. These guys are dakait and ask for a 1000 bucks for no reason. They do nt even have proper uniforms and belts. They stopped me while i was driving with my wife n kid which NEVER happens in Karachi.

It saves the cops hassle of seeing inside the cabin with their crap flashlights, they think that the motorist facilitating them has nothing to hide so they feel comfortable and let you go.

these bast**ds have some insects in their pichwara which dont let them stay in peace..anyways i have just experienced that the more u behave rudely with them the better their behavior gets..warna yeh neche laga laitay hain..i have been asked several times to go to thana by them and when i said yeah am ready..they say koi hai jo zamanat krwa le? i said yes..and they let me go..

Imo one should avoid in getting arguments with low life cops. They meet a 100 hot heads a day. Its always better to just be polite with them n tell them stuff like bhai roz yahan sa guzarta hun peechay rehta hun hamaray saath aisa karo ***.

I was once stopped near airport very late at night, a hot head friend was driving n he got into a fight. The drunk cop pulled out his gun n wanted to blow up the tires until i told him that my frnd is mad n disturbed bcz of family prob. He let us go for free which he ahudve in the first place but ths guys r vultures so its better just to avoid fights. Even if u know someone high up, wait and stay calm n thn show ur cards n bring thm to ur feet. Did that for sometime when we had the power. Best fun

In karachi u can almost roam arnd 90% of the city without any problems but nakkas in and arnd defence always stop if driving alone
