I don't understand how could some one take Atlas's side after seeing their unethical practice. No automobile company in the world exploits customers like that. I hope competition in the market starts soon enough to straightened them out.

Looks a nice car! Whatever they do with our pre-booking money but this car is going to be a hit if it has the same engine as City! I would love to know the consumption of this car as City is the economical car in Pakistan.

Although I don't agree with the concept of blind booking, I have also booked a BR-V top of the line since there is no other SUV at this price range.
And I am pretty confident I will get my money's worth from Honda as they have brought some good vehicles. And again, people have a choice with what they want to do with 'their' money so I don't think its a stupid logic @samahir

City's good economy is bound to the 1.3l engine. The 1.5l engine with manual transmission is average at best, below average with the automatic transmission. If the same old 1.5l engine is used in BRV instead of the 1.5l EarthDreams engine don't expect it to match the international mileage figures.

How is BRV an SUV? It is an MPV, at best just like Faw Sirius Grande S80 already available locally.

@aa78 - SUV is the segment that Honda is trying to develop with this vehicle. If you like to call it an MPV, good for you. Better yet, lets just call is a crossover which it is

Honda already has a proper SUV which CRV it is 82 lacs. Brv can be used for mild off-roading only, the only added benefit for off-roading is extra ground clearance rest it is similar to sedan.

It will be the best car for people having large family who travel together, it can also be used as Van service like PIA uses Toyota Avanza for some of its employees.

The other good things about it is fold-able seats, it can carry good amount of luggage if rear most seats are folded.

It is not even a crossover, crossover are more rigid and designed in a way which protects underneath body, also suspension are tuned for rough roads.

MPV is a hatchback with more ground clearance!

Current international city (e.g. in India) uses the 1.5l EarthDreams petrol engine and other diesel options, IIRC. Current PKDM City is obsolete worldwide.

It's funny how people are praising BRV. Faw has been offering Sirius for quite a while now and their sales aren't through the roof. If there truly was so much need in the market for a 7 seater MPV/crossover, it would have been seen in sales of Sirius/Avanza variants.

However, Faw has pathetic marketing and manual variants only (IIRC).

In this age of internet, one thing which is not clear to PW & it's sponsors is that at the end of the day, the best product at best price matters (Value for money). No matter how far PW goes on to its praises of Ciaz or Vitara, the fact remains that these vehicles cannot develop a niche for themselves considering the fact that Pak Suzuki or to that matter Suzuki internationally is not an established player in mid-size & larger vehicle categories. If it want to be competitive, it must introduce its products with superior features like indash, CVT transmission, etc etc. (Though K series engine is a welcome addition & must be introduced in Swift, wagon R, celerio/cultus etc.) & at competitive price eg. 1.5 -1.6 million for ciaz would have been competitive. Also PW is damaging its own goodwill & brand name which it has established over the years by highlighting just the bad build quality of civic on its launch & keeping mum during Corolla's launch. Being independent & appearing to be independent are the most important characteristics for forums like PW.

Nope . Those things are missing and there Is no cvt variant coming . The car is only available with manual gear just confirmed it with local showroom dealer .
