Alloy rims restoration

To each his own but In my opinion the rims looks better before the make over
and the proper way of restoring rims is to soda blast them and apply primer on them and paint it, if they are chromium plated then all they need is polishing after the soda blasting

Looks nice, people are right about the strength reduce if u re machine them but, to be precise there is a tolerance with respect to load, speed and air drag. Which I think is okay in your case. Further it will not deform or something but only fear you can have is god forbid on case getting a jerk or going through pot holes rim may crack, which you can test just to make sure. Systematically car should not bubble if they are machined over copying lathe or CNC as it trims your metal surface equally. I feel no problem with this re finish but better to have premium stuff for your, anyways looking much better than before, gives a fresh look to your beaten up wheels. If you aren't driving too much then it's okay to live with it.

They didn't tool the lug nut area it just looks like that as I have taken the picture close up there's no wobble or balance issues

same rims bro
no they do not tool the insides of the lug not area........the machine spins and takes 1 top layer off . before starting they spray matt black paint on the rims face. so they know no area is left without tooling

p.s i still hv the same car and rims
