Altis 1.6 2017 Engine Oil

Aoa. Can someone please tell me the recommended engine oil for altis 1.6 2017. And why is my altis 1.6 2017 giving 9km/l in Karachi traffic. I heard It should be 11km/l ?
Odometer: 19k km

Bro engine oil no matter what you out in will not do any real magic. Even if u stick to oem Toyota Taglon oil, mileage will remain decent. Traffic conditions vary a lot and sonis fuel quality and we feel that its engine oil hindering the economy. Change your fuel pump... make your driving style a vit more gentle and you will end up having a km more at max. Traffic is so bad nowadays plus the heat and constant load of ac. Mileage is always on tank to tank calculation..so meter per tension na lain...your car seems fine.

Shell helix 10w-40 is good.

Fuel consumption is high and vehicle need scanning for identification and rectification at workshop dial 0300 923 2821 10 am to 7 pm week days only. workshop is located over shahrae quaideen

I m using same fuel pump from last 4-5 years..normally people follow same route. Normally we spend more money on fixing an already OK car and end up spending more than we would have spent on fuel:p

Change your fuel pump...

Bro you suggested to change the fuel pump to him, hence the question. I changed the original denso fuel pump in my baleno after it had been driven 210,000 kilometers and finally started failing. These things last for ages and are expensive to replace. As for fuel filters which are cheap to replace, i change them after 30K kilometers, since the petrol we get here is full of contaminants.

Totally agree with you bhai. But i think 19k on odo isnnot so much. Secondly m still questioning if mileage is calculated by tank to tank filling or by meter. Fuel mileage meter always confuses as it's method itself get deceived easily.

Yes, under 150k is practically brand new for corollas in my opinion. As for the mileage goes, in karachi's stop and go traffic this much is normal and there is not much the o.p. can do about it.

Since warranty lasts for 2 years or 50k kms, switch to a thinner oil rather than using toyota's 5w50 taglon. Get a fully synthetic 5w30 oil, also add mos2 or if you've got the budget ceratec in your engine. This will make a protective film on your engine's moving metal parts which will also lubricate them. InshAllah your mileage will increase. I will switch to 5w30 too after the warranty period ends.

No it is not, my friend had an indus corolla which lasted 400k before the engine had to be swapped. Another one has a 2.0d with 300,000+ on the clock. 150k is nothing for toyotas despite what people here think. Have you see matt farah's million mile lexus?

Lol bhai i m not a spoilt boy ..how i moved from Bike to Car was not that simple. I sale the cars as normally total genuine low driven cars gives superb value. My father didnt gift me any cars everyone has its own struggle bro

It would personally be a big hassle for me to sell a car so early and I get attached to cars aswell, lol. But your point about superb value is correct, you will most certainly make money on selling this car rather than losing some.
