Altis Grande average on motorways

I just purchased altis grande 2019 last week and had a chance to take it from bahawalpur to islamabad, previously I had corolla gli 1.3 2015 model, I was not much concerned about fuel average of grande because I researched and found it was almost like Gli. with 3 people in car and trunk filled with luggage, I got 18.8 km/liter fuel average on our 615 km trip. I was quite surprised too because it was more than what I get from Gli (17.5-18.5), My speed throughout motorway was 105 kmph, cruise was set, and on kallar kahar, I set the cruise to 60. Have't used the car in city but driving 30-40 km in city, meter is showing 13.5 as average. Will update this post more from time to time. Feel free to ask any questions.

total fuel used: 32.5 liter.
total distance travelled: 614km
Average: 18.89 km per liter
Average shown on meter: 18.4 km per liter.

G bigger engines do better on highways

try using in local chores
and leave grande in iddling with AC
same car will drop to 9ish avg

It was manual GLI 2015 silver color 113k mileage. I sold it for 24.50, LHR number

Yes, you are correct. without any idling, I am getting 11-12 with stop and go traffic from i8 to i10 islamabad.

Grande has good avg thx to CVT along with 1.8 engine. My friend regularly gets 14 KMPL in Islamabad.

This could be possible with Grande as my Gli 2015 automatic give average of 16 to 16.5 on highway at 100 speed with all passengers sitting and luggage loaded in trunk. One thing more my gli have after market clutch type compressor which continuously puts load on engine while original variable type compressor puts less load even reduce load to very minimal resulting best average.

easily possible, i once went to lahore at around 100 cruise control, got similar figures.

In my experience of driving this car for 65k kms, the average shown on meter is instantaneous and does not reflect accurate figure.

I travel on M2 every 2 weeks and here is my car's average with AC (calculated manually upon each refill).

Under 100km/h > 17.2 km/l (It is a mental torture driving at this speed on motorway)
110km/hr > 15.8 km/l
120km/hr > 14.5 km/l
130km/hr > 13.3 km/l

In city, with AC, no matter how lightly I drive, average stays around 9.5-10.5 km/l

I got a chance to go from Islamabad to Abbottabad this weekend, we were 2 people without luggage, and throughout, the average speed was 95-105, Cruise was set to 98. I did not calculate tank to tank average this time but meter readings are given below:

From Islamabad to Abbottabad: 21.5 km per liter.
From Abbottabad to Islamabad 23 km per liter.

I really wanted some advice on this matter

Now i own the Corolla Altis 1.6 Auto 2017 Pre'Fl
The fuel average is extremely bad
8.5-9.5 km/l with AC
9.5-10.5 km/l without AC

tried everything,
changed tires
got wheel alignment
got every thring remotely doen to improve the average
but it was useless

Now we are planning to buy a New Car
We first planned for the Civic RS in the near future December 2025, but that is off the table bcz my dad has some financial needs, and we have only about 8 million PKR for the Car
Might add more in a few weeks but it would still less for the RS.
So i need advice
Should i go For Corolla Grande?
i know CVT-i has good average
the car is known to be comfortable and has what i heard good drive, also is pretty powerful for a 1.8L., So is Grande a good option?
Realistically yes Grande is loaded as compared to my prefacelift, but apart from that what more differences will i feel???

Grande is best or sportage, i sold mine and purchased sportage now, it is better in every way and have same average as grande

We only use sedans
MY uncle has sportage, and i didn't like it's drive much
