So how was your overhaul experience??

Bad. The mechanic was not qualified, ruined the engine. Had to sell the car later on. First and foremost thing you should do is find a qualified and competent mechanic, rest you have to just pay and the job will be done as per your satisfaction.

Yes from your 1st post in the thread, it seems so that mechanic has ripped you.
Sounds typical road side mechanic without any knowledge about engines, just learnt from "maar" of Ustad Jee.

Never using T-valve, running idle engine from 12 pm to 9 pm, not considering correct viscosity of oil were the major causes indicated few years back that this will be bunch of failures causing wastage of your money & time
