Annoying brakes :confused:

Ok so this annoying sound reappeared a couple days ago in my city. The one i got re greased makes lesser noise while the other one has also started making similar noise. My mechanic recommended disc replacement last time i went to him.

I have decided to replace the discs. Checked with a few dealers but no one has them in stock. One dealer quoted my 20k! Anyone knows where i can find them in reasonable price.?

You wont believe me but i knew this was going to happen
Old cars used to have a slot on the calliper , one could use a grease gun and grease the calliper
but modern cars dont
Disc replacement is the last resort ?

Man I have the EXACT same problem in my Mehran. The sound appeared after I had the wheel bearings changed. Initially, the "tuk tuk" sound came whenever the car was moving, even in neutral. Then as my suspension needed a fix anyways, had it rebuilt. The sound disappeared for some time but re-surfaced with all it's ugly glory after a week. This time the noise came only when applying the brakes (like you guys). I changed the brake pads and again, it went for a few days but is back again. And I have brake wrap too. but this sound is damn annoying and turns to almost a scratching noise when braking hard. My mechanic diagnosed it as worn brake pistons. I don't really know who to believe now!

My car is suzuki FX and recently done some work at engine and after that such sound start comming when i apply brake it or some time while moving straight same Tuk Tuk some comes. But 95 % when i applied brakes

As I press the brake hard the sound comes, i check it to Saeed Engineering (Saddar) from where i did my suspension work last time, they told me it is some thing related to brake not with suspension.

Now i will visit some other mechanic and see the opinion of others and than make a decision.

Yes I was referring to the pistons and not the pads. He said piston kate huey hain.

Could this be the problem ?
I also feel my cars disks feel a bit loose and the tightening screw's are fully tight

yara kon se piston katay hovay hain?according to my professional knowledge,there are one piston in one master cylinder which pushes brake oil to brake calipers :-! And they are not supposed to be cut:$

i was having this same sound in my cultus but now it is sold

My cars front brakes are giving a "Tuk Tuk " sound when press the pedals lightly
but not when the brake pedal is completely pressed
What causes the sound ?
I have already got work done on brakes alot of times but all are in vain
Please help me in this regard

lift your car from the (right side) with a jack
put one of your hand on the left side of the wheel and other on the right and shake it lightly
then put one hand on the top of the wheel and other on the bottom and shake again but lightly
Check for play in the wheel by this way
I also tried it but there was no play

Brother I know the difference between a pad and a piston. I have studied automotive engineering but lack practical (read: hands on) experience. Anyways, this is what I am talking about. There are 2 pistons inside the assembly (1 on each side) whose job is to pull the caliper in. Or atleast that's what I understood when the mechanic explained it to me. One of the piston's has a quarter of an inch gash around the bezel.

I will check and let you know, i notice that when the car speed reach above 65 km the sound start comming with out applying the brake.

Additionally at standing position if i change the gear the gear change with sound like CRUCH CRUCH

Did you replace the wheel bearings ?
the produce an echoing sound while the car is moving
and for the gear thingie im sorry i know nothing about manual cars
but i will suggest you check the transmission fluid
