Zain,fantastic trip,i love Egypt,i was watching on Discovery channel last nite a two hours show about Nefretiti,i might be visiting Cairo late this year or early next year as my son opted to finish his last year of his Beachelor studies in Cairo American University,he is in the University of Irvine California right now, i am planning to visit him over there Inshallah,keep the pics comming .

he is the most famous Pharaoh of ancient Egypt n his tomb (Pyramid) was most loaded with gold, jewlery, expensive cloth, furniture, his buggy florished with expensive stones n the Mummies of his pets i.e. FOX, Dog, Cat n Eagle...

after the show, I enjoyed the local-home-made egyptian food I was invited for dinner by my guide cum driver Mr. Qasim Abu Sheha. He lives in the suburb area of SAKKARA called El Haraniya, as sort of country-side...

the dishes his wife n daughters prepared:

1. Fetha (home-made bread, socked in the soup of DESI chicken n topped with egyptian rice - Lissan el'osfoor)

2. Steamed-Roast Chicken but marinated in Butter n herbs before steam

3. Saltah (an oriental salad - Raw-Figs, Onion, Tomato, Mint n black olives)

it was one hell of a food.. very very tasty.. :D:D:D

We started at 5:30am on 2nd April... on the way to Sahar Desert I passed by this Muslim Cemetry (a Graveyard) that is almost at the edge of Sahara..
