well, some Pharaohs,either dead or alive, had walked through this way..

I really had a good and a bad feeling... good because I was witnessing the ancient glory of the living wonder of the world n on the ground where not only the kings (pharaohs) but Prophet Moses, Yusuf, Yaqoob, Sharjeel n so many respected n choosen ones by ALLAH walked n spent their lives..

and bad... because I can only see their ruins n born after thousand years of their dinesties.. and also Im here only for few days n maybe just once in my life..

well, bye bye Sphinxee.. Im gonna miss u n if alive n has another chance to visit Cairo then I'll definitly see u again :P:P:P

so till then just chill n keep watching Cairo as u are doing it from last 3500 years..

I finished this trip to the Pyramids at 10:30am. I went back to my driver/guide Mr. Qasim. He was waiting for me in his friends shop near the Pyramids Park... n then left for my last day training to IBM-ISS office in Cairo...

the trip to the Pyramids is over.. the next part is the trip to Coptic Cairo (old city of Cairo)... included a very interesting part of Hanging Church. In fact, its an old Greek Orthodox church tht has few places open for tourists n many places in it whr tourists r not allowed. There is one old church of Saint Bahnuna n one of the oldest Synagogue (the Synagogue of Ein Ezra), obviously the Muslims n specially Pakistanis r not allowed in it..

so I had only way to get in.. with due respect, Im not humiliating anyone, anyone's belives and/or religion.. I had this chance to see thos places so I pretended to be an Orthodox Christian.. meet one Christian girl n his mother in the church, offered the prayers to Saint Goerges (an Egyptian Saint of Greek Othodox). I told them tht Im a computer engineer working in Dubai but belong to England n touring Cairo...

plz plz plz... dont take it offensive n dont consider the next few pix abusive to any faith, religion or community....

I'll keep telling u tht why these places were so important for me to be visited on one way or another...

just in brief, the Holy Family means, Syedah Maryam and Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Them). The lived in Egypt while Jesus was an infact, a small child. They stayed there till the fear or risk of prosecution by King Herod gone. After that then moved to Jerusalem (Bait 'al Maqdas or Bait 'al Muqaddas).

The Hanging Church and Saint Georges Church, Its called Hanging because Alaxendar the Great built a castle when he was in Egypt. After many cneturies and rebbles, his castle was destroyed. But one of the watch towers of the castle was in place. So in 7th Century this church was built over the Gateway Watch Towers of the remaining castle of Alxendar.
