Anyone using Desi Generator?

I am thinking about making a Desi Generator (converting a car engine into a generator). due to Excessive load shedding in Islamabad these days. If Anyone using it please share your experience?

I have heard of coure engine for 5kVA, vitz 1.0L, 12 valve and 16 valve engines for making one...

I am also doing the survey... coure one costs around 75000 rs... atleast...

My father made two generators for our factory one with truck engine don,t know much about it as it was made in my absence and one from cuore engine the generator have mechanical governer so that,s the only negative thing we are having but in factory it does,t count that much while on positive side as my father did all the work so he coupled both engine and motor so well that there,s almost no vibration and engine is almost sound free he used very tough frame so that the engine don,t make resonance and for base he used some special type of tyres which have adjustment to lift the generator on tyres while moving and after placing the generator one can make the generator to stand on Rubber base

Corolla`s engine easily available in market buy 1.3L with 16 valve. The good point is, it will be sound proof. But expensive and require huge radiator to cool down.

Bought 1 with Toyota 3S engine. Its Pretty good. Runs all lights and fans of our house, 2 two ton AC, 1 1.5 ton AC, 2 ups charging (1 1000w and 1 3000w) and 1 microwave. Currently running on LPG.
Some problems are of governor (some times) it don't adjust race by itself. But it happens very rarely. Its stable at 220-230w.

Biggest problem of all:
GAS BHOT KHATTA HA

We are using it on LPG cylinder. It consumes around 2-3kg gas per hour.

As soon as i reach home i will start a lot of DIY,s so stay tuned
As it is a mira engine (Cuore and mira have same carb engine) with 660cc bore so 5KW motor is enough for it .....
Detail info will be available with pics when i will go to Gujranwala as right now i,m in isb due to examz and tomorrow or day after tomorrow i will be in Gujranwala

I have done a project on this topic. Details are Vitz Engine = 44,000 Alternator 13KVA china Used = 40,000 Coupling = 20,000 Chassis = 25,000 ATS and wiring, Radiator, Fan etc = 42,000 Gaskit, Electronic Governor, Modified manifold, Valve, = 35,000 Total Cost me 225,000 Some silent features are its silent.... no noise and disturbance. Very less gas consumption only 6000 rs bill for whole month with 2 air con 1.5 tons. If u people want to see pictures I will share.

Its very good as its an electronically controlled (ECM). I am using this generator from last 47 days. Working good and fuel consumption is better the GLi engine. Picture will share tomorrow.

In winter season ALHAMDOLILLAH we don't have any problem about gas. Also this genset doesn't required any high pressure. I just replaced my 5KVA genset with this. Its 100% my own DIY and already measure its gas demand. And most of all I am using this genst for air-con, Sardi I have Solar
