Dear brother @arkhitekt

Your thread has changed my mind to almost finally go with Civic. Otherwise I was so confused reading multiple faults and discomforts from owners.

As I have been using Suzuki cars since long, now thinking to go with Toyota or Honda. Few questions if you or any senior can answer would help me greatly.

1. Comparing with Prius / Altis / GLi in terms of mileage, resale value, running cost, driving pleasure etc.
2. For Karachi roads, ground clearance is OK or not
3. What extra add-ons do you recommend
4. What would be future resale value as compare to more hybrid cars in the future
5. From any Karachi brother, mileage?

1. The driving pleasure of Civic X is far superior tha anything available in this budget.

2. Yes ground clearance is perfectly good.

3. I like cars more towards a stock decent look. Only added oem navigation, after market seat poshish and tyres mainly

4. Future resale will be massively superior to Hybrid cars. On another thread somewhere I shared my experience of a Toyota Prius 2011 that I own and its not just my experience but many others also that it depriciates more than the saving it does. And that is the reason I am not getting the courage to sell that Prius now which is a boring car compared to Civic X in my opinion.

5. Mileage varies as per use and conditions. I am from Lahore and getting around 10. If I am careful its between 11-12. Its also about driving style. The same way I drive Prius and fetch 16 but like I said above it had depriciated much more than it saved in fuel.

Anyone know when Turbo bookings will open?

Apparantly Atlas is working to resolve the issues once and then open bookings. Probably regular production and deliveries will start in March 2018

March, 2018 is an excessively long delay. What is causing it?

At least, dealerships should have booking open even if potential delivery date is far away. Are they taking bookings at all and is barring of booking reflected on Atlas' website?

Dear @arkhitekt bro, I am also thinking about adding navigation in my civic. Any suggestions about JDM navigation vs oem navigation. Which one you recommend.

The dealerships are just not taking any new bookings.

By all means add oem navigation. Its a wonderful system from Tracking World this time.

Secondly, adding an aftermarket system will become a hiccup with electrical warranty.

And thirdly, an aftermarket system is also around 45k so you are not saving much. For saving 30k your car will always be tagged as non original navi car and no matter how expensive aftermarket system you put, the added value is not there.
