How often should the throttle body be serviced / cleaned due to carbon accumulation? I was told by the mechanic to do it at least once in a year....Car is a Toyota Belta

mehran engine came with auto gear...look for 3 speed gearbox in junkyards

its consuming almost 1ltr oil/300KM drive so toyota dealership and our mechanic advised to install Kabili nose cut. wud you also recommend to consider petrol engine? 4.0 or 4.7ltr? and what additional changes we have to consider beside complete engine +transmission+ECU+ fuel lines etc if opted for petrol engine?

If you remember my radiator top was leaking. Went to Plaza and got a new radiator top tank installed. A copper one. And to my surprise the bottom tank of the radiator is genuine! Earlier i had told you that the bottom radiator tank is also changed but it isn't! My electrician told me to get a new switch which fits in the bottom radiator tank if you want fans to turn on and off automatically. Bought a new switch and took it to him so he can install it. But then he told me there is no place to install it on your radiator's bottom tank because it's not original so returned the switch. He lied! I guess my idiot electrician lied to me because he loves making fans run direct. Earlier both fans were ran directly with ignition. But later my electrician made the smaller fan run only when A/C is turned on. He says both fan running at the same time will make your battery drain real quick. Well if this is the reason then why didn't he made both the fans run automatically. Damn! I wanted to ask should both the fans work together? For example the bigger fan is on auto factory setup and when car reaches a certain temperature should it trigger both the fans or the bigger one only? And if the car is cold and i turn the A/C on should it trigger both the fans or just the smaller one on a genuine factory setup? Because radiator and condenser in my Accord are not side by side.

both radiator fans are wired in parallel in your accord, meaning they work together, not one by one. There is one relay in the fusebox that runs both fans, Whenever the A/C compressor starts, it will switch on the fans whether the engine is cold or hot.

The switch to turn on the fans is screwed into the lower tank of the radiator next to the lower hose pipe, it has two thin wires, one is body ground and one goes back to the relay in the fuse box to switch the fans on. - Remove the battery and its tray to see the wiring - its very simple, one pair of wires comes to a round watertight connector near the bottom of the radiator, then 2 wires go to the fans - the smaller fan wiring is joined into the larger fan right in the middle. The individual run fans only came in the RHD JDM and euro versions of this car. Yours is not JDM, its a GEM - also known as General Export Model.

For the distributor advance pod - get a new one. They are still available new.

for the high beams - it seems that someone screwed up the wiring in the steering assembly, originally they are only H1 bulbs in both high beams and when they switch on the low beams in the H4 switch off - the main beams are both hi/lo H4 bulbs so you get 4 bright headlamps. - low beam driving only gives you two lamps.

I think its better to actually find the cause of the excessive oil usage rather than shooting parts at your car and hoping it works. So I beleive the first order of the case is finding better technicians to repair your truck.

I'm planning to install EPS in my Honda City 01 (SX8), it was suggested by a friend of mine. Existing HPS is troubleshooting again and again leakages, i had replaced it with a kabli 3 months ago but one week back it failed again and started leaking. I was using OEM Power steering fluid.

Thanks for the reply friend! BTW i wired up the headlights on factory settings and working fine MA. Also adjusted the reflectors. Removed extra relays. Soldered wires on H1 bulb's body for ground and for positive used horn clips. The original grips for H1 bulbs are rare and expensive. The switch is still there in bottom tank. What do you think will the switch work because it's sitting dead there for years maybe. When i got the top tank installed there was a little hole and a little dried up coolant around. Got that fixed but still there are 3 tiny pin hole leaks and a little dried up coolant can be seen around it. Very very tiny 3 holes. Only dried up coolant is around it on the top tank's border. Damn these desi radiator walas don't know how to work properly. One more thing brake lamp red strip lights up when i start the car and when i press the brake pedal. All brake lights are working perfectly fine but i remember one holder of brake lamp had issues with ground so the electrician grounded one bulb directly to the chassis in the truck because he said new holder is needed so for the time being i am grounding this bulb directly. Could this be an issue for the brake lamp red strip to light up when i press the brake pedal after i start the car and it remains on.

I think it has F8C transmission which came in Matiz. It required a little modification (from what I read over internet)

Anil Naqvi (member at PW) had it installed in Mehran. But I'm looking for 5 Speed Manual.

My passo's battery has gone low on charge. Im planning to put my other car's battery to start the car and put back my old battrry as soon as the engine has started. Is it suggested to do in jdms or will this bring up some issues? Like code removal or any issues? @syncview

you are not supposed to keep the running engine running without the battery disconnected, ever.

Buy or borrow jump cables and jump start your car to avoid anything blowing up or burning out.

Thanks bro. Bought loose heavy electrical new wires for jump start but it isnt working. Though I had connected the wires very well at both the ends.

@xulfiqar today I pulled out codes by service check connector method from odb port. Both check light and eps blinks. Eps code is 23 two long and three short pulses and check engine light is 41. Also I don't alwYs get check light But when I do it goes away itself after few days it seems to be intermittent problem
