there is one holder for the wires, it is attached to the tappet cover

try to find the rest, there should be another one that is a disc - also found in alto, and another one for 2 wires for cyl 1 and 2.

carburetor replaced and vacuum connections rectified, this time car gave an average of 12, it is knocking since the timing advance is now working and the mixture is slightly rich, my problem is almost resolved, someone i know is getting 14 from his carby margalla with city driving and 17 kpl on long, i am hopeful of such good mileage after proper tune up according to service manual

13-14 i just feel driving the car that it can still do better

will go for tuneup after buying new wires, distributor cap and thermostat valve job

I had sound problem in my front wheels. on sunday I changed front wheel bearings from toyota. sound is still coming, they advise me to change tires. my car is 84000km driven and had bridgestone stock tires.
Now I am feeling one problem. before when I make turn, I rotate steering and after turn unhold the steering and wheels comes in straight position. means steering rotate automaticaly to make wheels straight. after change bearings, when I turn the steering it not comes straight automatically I have to rotate it back. today I not rotate completely only 4-5 degree remainig and when I unhold steering to come straight, it rotate completely (means 4-5 degree more). on straight drive I unhold steering to check if that is going at any side, but car still going straight. so what can b problem? need allignment or what?

in my new carburetor i noticed a new part attached. i have encircled it in the pic, this thing has a vacuum pipe coming out and a black wire is soldered to it and the other end is connected to a green connector, also there is an extra vacuum port next to the
mixture screw, what are these extra bits for.

in my original carburetor this area was blocked with a steel plate, held by the same three screws.

btw i think the red and green wires were also attached to the green connector, the mechanics probably cut them to fit to the stock wiring

This is part of the evaporative regen system, it collects vapor from the float bowl and pushes it into a charcoal canister, when the engine fires the little port on the throttle housing sucks from the charcoal canister to burn that vapor. Your car does not have this function.

The old charades/corollas etc that came as "recondition or JDM" had this too.

Make sure that the front end bolts are tight n good then have a workshop reset the EPS.

My car has 3 problem that no one is able to diagnose..
Its a baleno EFI 99 G13B
1) the check engine light on startup should show for few seconds but since 3-4 months the light sometime lights up and sometime doesnot, showed it to an electrician and he checked the car ECU, instrument cluster for loose connection or loose bulb but was not able to find it..

2)On start up there is a very sharp squealing type of noise from the coil pack area of engine but its not the fan belt.. My car has 2 coil packs with provision of 2 2 ignition wires each.. . the sound is there in extreme cold and slowly disappears when the car warms up.. the oil light only shows up on start up , so oil pressure may be normal. 1 year ago an electrician told me that alternator needs replacement. when i turn on the indicators the handbrake light blinks with the blinking indicators. The battery light only shows at start up..

3) there is a persistent dull growling sound from trimming belt area in idle.., timming belt and bearing were changed 16000Km ago.

what parts are needed to make it work? i have this carburetor.

for now i blocked that small port and replaced the other thing with the metal plate from my other carburetor.

is there any advantage apart from being eco friendly?

btw i think the new euro 2 cultus has something that resembles a charcoal cannister
