for now i blocked that small port and replaced the other thing with the metal plate from my other carburetor.

is there any advantage apart from being eco friendly?

btw i think the new euro 2 cultus has something that resembles a charcoal cannister

If you recall the old 2A and 2E engine corollas that were imported as reconditioned - they had a rats nest of vacuum pipes, I have its piping diagram and honestly it takes 3 separate diagrams on top of each other to understand. Counting approximately 30 vacuum connections.

Worse was the Twin turbo RX7 - its vacuum/pressure jungle of pipes was enough to give you nightmares, I had a diagram that I printed from a plotter and then coloured each connection to make sense. Never counted them.

Or lets take an old mercedes - it has vacuum lines for door locks, rear head rest control, A/C control, diesel shut off, transmission control, headlamp adjust to name a few.

Try blocking them.

leave it alone. It was only for strict eco freindly countries, Pakistan doesnt care about emmissions, infact we are so careless we see people dumping coolant and oil straight into dirt.

Then we also see a well nearby where people are drinking water.

Electric Power steering, it needs a reset which is only possible with a test scan unit. Battery disconnect does not work.

Captain @xulfiqar few question to broaden my vision

1. Is EPS better than Hydraulic?
2. Is it possible to convert it ? if yes does it have dedicated Control Unit
3. I have 98 accord Engine inside my car. CF3 came with EPS which means i have same ECU. Should I stick with my previous steering system?
4. Following part is missing in my steering system. This happens to be speed assist. Currently my Power steering works partially. Would Installing this help soften my steering?
5. Mechanics have bypassed it by U shaped pipe on my steering gear box.

This is for variable steering assist or speed sensitive steering assist, It hardens the steering effort as the car moves faster, idle position is (full pressure) meaning very easy steering (like your bypass) the faster the car moves the higher the internal governor reduces pressure hence the steering gets pretty hard at speed.

Why for Door Locks and Head Rests ?

the door locks are vacuum powered from its dedicated pump, earlier had both functions as vacuum the later ones have vacuum to lock and pressure to unlock - all done by the same pump.

the rear headrests on w124, 201, 210 etc have a mechanical lock that latches when you pull them up, to flop them down, you press a switch on the dashboard which opens an vaccum valve which sucks in the vacuum pods on the latches which cause the headrests to fall. Its a beautifully made system.

usually hissa = differential

unusually it maybe used for steering linkage work.

gadri = crossmember or subframe.

I recently got a ignition control unit problem on my pajero io (GDI), was on a trip when suddenly the car started issues with picking up acceleration and started missing which evenly led to engine die. have to tow car back to home. when i checked it later, all the coils units were overheated and burnt, GDI has individual coils units at each plug. put the replacement coils and they againt started to fry and expand. Took it to electrician and as per him, voltage getting to coil is more then the required one and issue lies in engine ecu and need to replace the IC's in ecu to get it fixed. But i have a feeling that there must be some other reason for it as not getting engine check ligh, please guide which things need to be checked to identify the real reason .

no work done on it, took it to cholistan last month and it came back without much issue. just once on way back it gives jerks for few minutes and was having some electrical issue. disconnected battery terminal for few seconds and connected again, rest of journey it did wothout any issue.

Could be a bad ground issue / bad coil wiring harness
Has the electrician checked the wiring harness?

Your problem is the start of the "classic" GDI problem of carboning and choking up, It also results in severe misfire and localised heating. When installing the plugs the coil rubber caps that hold onto the plug should be coated with silicone grease, if they are oil soaked it will rot and swell up and eventually stick in the plug bores.

Your electrician is giving you a story to read with something hitech, for him some "IC" is very high tech and he will try his level best to blame is squarely on the "IC" - issue is that your engine requires a decoke.

For starters - get it hooked to a scan unit and see any pending errors.
