Sir knocking issue is still persistent. On Cold start, there is no knocking problem. But as soon as car travels 8 - 9 kms, engine reaches optimum temperature, car starts knocking.

Strange problem with one of our cars, Swift 1989 (Khyber) running perfectly fine on both CNG & Petrol. Just that the car wont start when the engine is cold. Keep in mind its too hot here in Karachi these days but the car wont start in early morning when the sun isnt at its peak, not even on petrol! it cranks perfectly fine though but looks as if is not getting the fuel, strangely enough at around 10 when the sun is out and the car gets quite hot in the sun, its literally a half-self start car.

I have checked online forums but most diagnosis are related to fuel injected vehicles. I have changed the battery twice, plugs, tuning, CNG settings, kit service, timing & generator belt replacement, starter motor replacement but the problem persist. Also when the car starts, it use to give some very rough idles and often backfires for a couple of minutes before it all settles and the car becomes problem free.

Do help, is it something related to the auto-choke mechanism? thats something i haven't done yet or any other things that might need attention?

khyber doesn't have auto choke. u have to apply choke manually by pulling the choke lever(though not necessary if car's properly tuned, my khyber started in half self in coldest winters this season without choke with throttle pressed 40-50% and releasing completely after engine starts). get it tuned properly for petrol first, once it is perfect on petrol go to a cng installer, ask him to advance ignition timing, and adjust cng supply for idle rpm(from kit) and max cng supply(from power valve, T shaped screw valve) only, don't let him touch the carb for any tuning on cng.

If car has coolant then this can be blown head gasket which is allowing coolant into combustion chamber. Time for compression test

Why mechanics prefer Kabli part rather than recommending new parts for Suzuki cars? Locally assembled suzuki cars are not even sold in Afghanistan then what's this Kabli stunt?

Infact no car is sold in afghanistan...they are called Kabli because usually they are smuggled through Afghanistan....most of suzuki parts are imports from thailand or Japan....NCP are smuggled from afghanistan and then stripped down to parts...

when Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, a large number of Afghan nationals took shelter in Japan from where they started smuggling used spare parts to Afghanistan.

Later on, the Afghans took refuge in Pakistan and started bringing the spare parts from Afghanistan to Pakistan.

Due to smuggling from across the Durand Line, the business of smuggled items thrived in various parts of Pakistan. That's why they are called kabli (smuggled).

car is not overheating/reducing coolant level nor consuming any oil.its more like kacha dhooan to me

I have adjusted RPM from both the screws several times but RPM always gets low after few days of running. How can i fix this?

Car in question is suzuki cultus efi
Car got overheated on motorway and replaced its head gasket from motorway
Then after reaching lahore according to Suzuki technical person car is developing pressure so have to change its gasket
They faced the block and head and place genuine gasket
As i was in hurry so can't checked the car,
Now problem is coolant is being reduced by car, when we start car after a long interval like 4,5 hours there is a noticeable amount of smoke but after 1 min its hardly visible, but smoke is still there u can see it.
Coolant level reduced from full to low after 500kms.

Black smoke = car running rich
Blue Smoke = Car burning up engine oil
White Smoke = car burning coolant.

Make sure that is smoke not water vapour that come in cold weather

Local ones are not that good and that qabli is just a term. These parts come from different places

Same if you have coolant and you are getting constant white smoke then its coolant entering combustion chambers

Dude the original problem of over heating was never solved that's why... Gasket change is a consequence of over heat.. but you have to figure out why over heating happened in the first place... pressure test the cooling system for any leaks.. replace all hoses and pipes if car was running on water... also check if water pump seal is leaking? If intake manifold is leaking?

In addition to that make sure that you check your thermostat valve if its stuck
