Accelerator paddle of civic 99 vti automatic struck every time when car is parked situation Then I have to press the paddle to full and with little bit power and paddle will perform its function perfectly afterwards. Then if car is stop at signal or parked for sometime, gas paddle struck again and then press the full paddle with little power so that paddle can be pressed.

Visit to mechanic, he checked and said accelerator cable will change and gas paddle will be service. I asked him to do, he changed the accelerator cable and service the paddle by opening it, washed with petrol and apply grease to upper part of paddle especially on upper part containing spring.

But problem is not resolve still same thing happening every time when car is parked at signal and in garage. This really annoying now.

Can you Please tell me why is this and how to resolve the problem completely.

Okay But Throttle body serviced recently but problem persists. Is cable quality causing this issue?

Cable can make it hard but I don't think stuck at idle. Remove the cable from throttle and then check individually. You will know what is stuck

yes you are right.

As cable is replaced to new one so cable is fine-although old cable is also fine, mechanic didn't check correctly the whole system.

I checked the TB butterfly, its getting struck after parking the car for 5-10 min and require too much power to move the TB Butterfly from its stationary position. Its now clear that TB Butterfly is main culprit.

Also i sprayed the WD 40 to TB Butterfly spring located outside so that Butterfly can move without any restriction but it can't solve the problem completely.

Now either I have to replace the TB or only Butterfly to solve the struck problem?

open it. Clean with carb cleaner . If problem persist then I doubt your tuning guy has messed up with screw that restrict throttle from going way back. Adjust if if you can. adjust in a way that it does not stuck and you can't see any light passinG from any clearences. So may be true happiness may end after it not getting adjusted by you bit changing it is last resort for sure

Help needed ! Got this dent on my car the paint is alright but the dent is big .. As you can see in the pictures . Shall i leave it as it is or do PDR ? Will paintless dent recovery fix it 100% ? Thankyou

Not sure but try adjusting the position of butterfly. you can do it yourself by rotating 1 or 2 threads of a screw behind the spring.

its your call but if i was you i would take my chances and adjust the screw slightly so that it does not stuck and i its max closed too. After adjustments do adjust TPS

replace the throttle body. make sure that the coolant line connections are good to it, the reason for the coolant lines is to maintain a good temperature on the throttle body as the air passes through it, without temperature control the housing can contract on the throttle blade and jam and eventually warp the body.

AOA hope you are doing fine.

I have a slight problem i was hoping you could help me.

i have CG125 2011, recently had it's headwork done

Now i am facing an issue which existed even before this work. Upon release of throttle at higher RPM there is a popping sound from exhaust. The mechanic corrected it by making the mixture rich from the idle screw,and the popping got reduced a bit but now there is another problem. At high speeds when i let go of the throttle and than twist it again there is a hesitation or deadspot, it does a bit of missing. Both there problem occur at high speed from 0-60 it is fine and smooth.Can you tell me plz if this is specifically a carb problem or is there another issue.
Here are some facts
1)New spark plug
2) no air leak checked
3)CDI unit and coil were replaced to for experimentation but the problem remained the same.
4) Jets of carb were changed and the jet needle in the C-clip is in the middle as it is suppose to be

sounds like the engine is starving at high rpm, to adjust this - the idle mixture screw does not help at all, you need to check the main jet sizing and also the metering needle nozzle - equally important are the air emulsification passages to the nozzle, they open in the air horn or the carby, shoot some carby cleaner in there to clean it out.

Hello sir i have a question i have a euro 2 cg 125 it runs fine but when ever i press clutch or take it to neutral there is a strange sound which i think comes from its engine like PAKHHH n the bike turn off.. Please guide me what can be the problem ? I have taken the bike to mechnic but all he said was tunning ka masla ho ga tunning krwa lo theak ho jay ga but still after tunning im facing this problem.. I read - mechanic said bike needs tune up after you presented that problem. You had it tuned - but he did not fix it, Please get back to him and ask to correctly set it.

btw - your issue sounds like the reed valve in the exhaust is a bit iffy (CG125 euro has a reed valve to inject air into the exhaust) - Make sure its not passing air both ways.

Today, opened the TB and found that struck condition at its initial position was due to dirt-mechanic didn't service correctly that restrict the movement of butterfly when leaving the paddle. Washed with petrol and cleaned the whole TB whereas Coolant lines connections are good-apply some silicone on tb coolant lines connection so that coolant couldn't leak some coolant. Also Coolant pipes connected to tb coolant lines were also changed.

Till now paddle is smooth and working as it should. Whereas accelerator cable also changed with full paddle service. Will check at cold start tomorrow to check struck condition completely gone or not. Till now it is working as it should.

whole engine with injectors ...no wiring replaced rest of tge connector were same except for distributor so replaced distributor with hitachi 7 or may b 9 pin to make compatible eith stock wiring .ecu is not changed....

that is your issue, you are using a different set of injectors on a mismatched ECU, get the old injectors back. Also check the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line for fuel leak

is there a possibility that uk civic 1.4(new swap) engine injector is of larger cc than 1.5 engine (my previous engine) injectors of pakistani honda city cars ?
@xulfiqar i have sold the engine with injectors now how to find and identify of injector size... i think i have messed it all

i dont know previous engine's injector size . if i buy injectors of 1.5 cars there is a possibility that injectors were of bigger cc size.

the modulation of the injectors is done from the ECU, injectors need to be of correct spray volume as the ECU does not know the volume of them in your case because your system lacks an o2 sensor.

yes i know that but how to identify correct injectors cc n spray pattern to buy for my car in junkyard ? there are alot of injectors and nothing is printed on them.

@xulfiqar my suzuki F8B had bad reverse switch i replaced it with a taiwanese item but it leaks after 5-6 days, replaced it twice but it leaks, mechanic says to get jenyian kabli reverse switch or from dealership. Also tried to replace small rubber washer on the switch but no use. And one of my friend wants to get breakerless distributor for his mehran should he replace the coil with it the tri angle one or the old red top denso 12v is good?

@xulfiqar...I have a whine coming frm the engine bay or wheels( cant locate exactly since its faint but audible)..it starts at around 60km/h then goes upto 64km/h then gets faint..Same happens on deceleration at the above mentioned speeds..Car is a 2008 Civic ivtec prosmatic..With front rotors and brake calipers of Honda Accord..Kindly help me to identify the thing which is causing this noise..P.S Front wheel bearings were recently changed and this sound was there before the wheel bearings were changed too!
