Aoa xulfiqar brother ..
.My car honda civic 2005 is giving tak tak sound like lose tappets from engine . First it started few days ago on cold start after driving for few minuites it disappear but today its sound is very loud and it doesnt disappear.. recently I have done tuning and throttle body about a month back.. I was advised to change timimg belt but I was delaying it..and one thing more my car is losing water becuz of ac in summer but no heatup issue and I pour water in radiator after long trips.. question is that is this sound due to engine oil or timing belt or due to not using colant and pouring water instead..or just lose tappets .? What should be I do ??

Sir/Experts;

Drove a Toyota Allion CVT version, 59,000 km driven, (Genuine Mileage :)) couple of nights ago.

Problem- The car or shall I say engine vibrated at speeds of 50km/h and 100km/h.
The owner told me that the engine regulates the fuel bla bla. which I think is BS.
'Sup with the car?

@xulfiqar bro i need your help regarding low pick on my honda accord if u remeber my previous thread as well. Due to some reasons i cannot sell the car and o have to keep it. The car has low initial acceleration and throttle delay. This is very frustratong. I appreciate if u can advise any remedy for this. Will engine tuning or ecu remapping help? . Thanks

I think this car uses drive by wite technology which is known for lagging when youre thirsty for power unlike an r18:P

first try with a new screw - if that does not help then you are SOL and need a redone throttle assembly, No machinist in Pakistan has the tools to make the seat again.

if you are feeling a buzz at those speeds then the CVT fluid is worn down and the torque converter lockup is shuddering (slip/stick) situation (worst case = coolant in the transmission)

the unit does have a fuel pressure regulating system which is recalibrated from time to time (every 20,000 kms or so) - and when bad it can cause lurching but not vibration. Vibration as in "shaking" is caused by mechanical fault.

Yeah- i guess he hasn't changed the cvt fluid since he changes cars bi-annually. His tires were worn as well, he told me that he won't change them as well since he's gonna sell it. Lol.

One of those guys that wear ' Danim jeans ' more money than sense.

incase of opening of an engines head (Toyota) is it necessary to get new head bolts ? you also posted a thread for using a specific socket for doing the bolts is it easily available in KHI ?

Toyota usually give a specification for the head bolts, measure them out and replace as required.

the tool to undo the bolts is dependant on model e.g. the modern ZZ engines take a 10mm double hex, You can jam a 12mm XZN in there but it will strip the head of the bolt.

Generic mechanics in Pakistan dont even know of such a tool - for them a "baara pael ki ell key" is universal. - It usually ends up in a messed up situation.

How much would a Suzuki swift with 5w40 fully synthetic engine oil consume petrol in an hour if left idle with ac on fan speed one? Someone told me 5 liters an hour.. hehe.

Tbh- out of the 91 hp my engine chugs out, I guess that 5 hp is used to drive the ac compressor. Right?

I have an issue .... the pick & more importantly, the mileage im getting from my City Prosmatec 2010 is...very sad.[/I]

after oil change (Caltex Havolin 10w30) & AC service (for diff reason thou) I'm not getting any better mileage. its around 9.4 km/l as per ODO.

previously, I've changed the plugs but they werent new. do u recommend that after getting totally new Honda spark plugs, it will return to normal which is around 12~14 km/l for City ?

or anything else still needs to be done? i read sumwhere on forum abt iridium plugs ? does Honda have those or have to buy them from sumwhere else ? will they be helpful ?

My car has a 4AFE im getting the valve seals replaced

there are two versions of 4AFE engines and one has TTY bolts - you can identify them by looking at them, if they have a narrow area below the bolt head they are TTY bolts and will require new bolts. They become useless after one time.

The tool to remove them on a 4AFE is a 12 point socket which normally all mechanics would have - the real pain are the ZZ engine bolts which take a bihex male bit.

thanks got it even i have that 12 point socket in my kit
btw the one my car has is a 2nd gen dizzy type
are oil seals and valve seals the same/common in 90's toyota engine e.g 4AFE and 4SFE ?
