anyway - sanding the parts will disturb the height of the parts which may lead to other problems, the paper gasket can take up the scratches if they are not too deep, Hope the parts are not warped.

Toyota 2010 engine 2.7L 2TR-FE, 88000 km, auto transmission - engine vibrate heavy intermittently at red light with brake pedal pressed, rpm drops under 1000 rpm before dying. no issue on fuel consumption or pick up, request please suggest remedy.

checked all vaccum lines no leakage - case is specific to stall when brake pedal pressed. Brake boaster ? Vaccum PCV to Boaster ?

sounds like a leaking brake booster, test it with the line disconnected.

You will have no brake assist with this situation, DO NOT drive the truck on public roads like this.

the one branded carb cleaner available here is the 3m spray type carb cleaner

you need a handheld tester to test it - it also needs a constant pull of strong vacuum to lift it. Try to test the carby hat with a running engine vacuum line.

If the powevalve is dumping fuel even at idle then its probably gunked with varnish too. Is the power piston working smoothly up and down?

the power valve is also good but seems a little loose..if the valve doesn't seal good enough, even a new one, that probably means a new air horn is needed?

plus if the power valve is tested using a handheld vacuum tester, approximately how long should it hold at say 15 inhg?

on the ih8mud forums, the most popular method is berryman's carburetor dip, sadly that is not available here

i was very surprised when i saw the amount of gunk that came out when i passed wd40 through the jets and venturis. especially the primary.

what i did was first dunk it into soap water, then i used half a can of wd40, i even filled half the float bowl and let it sit for a day

the valve itself is repalceable, its basically a jet with a spring and seal on it.

I would say that about 8 to 10 seconds is a good test.

I need a query. mostly I drive my car harshly. sometime on long route I drive at 4000rpm. sometime in getting speed I drive 4200-4300rpm. I change engine oil regularly at about 5000km from petromin oil change. is it harmful to drive on 4000+ or not?

the new power valve held 15inhg vacuum for not more than 4 seconds.. so I stopped messing with it and fitted it

the idle mixture screw is now responding nicely and engine idle is smooth now

only one problem we can see is that upon instant revving a slight puff of blackishh smoke is emitted...other than that the car is good

the slight puff maybe deposits already in the exhaust - take the vehicle out for an old fashioned - italian tune up - Also make sure the secondary throttle is opening up - I have seen a lot of them in Pakistan where their diaphragms were punctured internally and the secondary never opened up at the right time.

btw - sounds like you tuned it nicely, Does the engine pick up speed and torque faster now?

These carbies you are handling are simple - the strombergs are nuts, nice carburettors are made by US manufacturers and the ones installed in the oldschool chrysler 440s or the chevy big block are about the size of a toilet bowl.

the old mechanical fine tuning capability of a carby is really raw and old fashioned and sometimes really addictive.

These are probably the simplest of all aisans, but the problem with these esp in Pakistan is the lack of any manuals , good rebuild kits and the fact that chachu suzuki was too cheap to use a sight glass for the float bowl

1- suzuki orignal break shoes and drum pads r costly whch others r highly recommended Brand name pls
2- how much break oil will be required fr a complete change, im planning for liquimoly.ur recommendation? &do u knw price tag?

1. Suzuki genuine are best but you can also go for akebono or nippon.
2. Seiken dot3 brake fluid works perfect
