I have Toyota GLI 2012 with odometer 70,000 original odometer till now. My car is company maintained from day 1 till now. From day 1 till now then petron engine oil 20w50 is used in my car. Now i am thinking of changing the engine oil to thinner oil like toyota engine oils 10w30 or 5w30 or zic 5w20.

What do you suggest now to me can I change the engine oil to thinner oil like toyota engine oils 10w30 or 5w30 or 5w20 or keep using Toyota petron 20w50 genuine engine oil ???? Is this beneficial for changing the engine oil to thinner oil for engine ????? What do you suggest now ?????

Brother, 20w50 is no more recommended in vehicles since early 2000. Use 5W40 full synthetic oil. Any good brand with API SN, or even SM is OK for your model.

Bro you are right... I already told here my car is company maintained till now. Company recommend 20w50 for car and thats why i asked for @xulfiqar. Is any adverse effect on engine after changing to thinner oil when my engine is used to take 20w50????

OK, let Xulfiqar convince you before you go for a lower multi viscosity grade.

As i had told you earlier, there may be adverse effects of 20w50 and not 5w40.

This code is vague, you need to get the error code using a proper scantool
but this is

Mostly a bad throttle body, either the throttle plate is stuck or motor is bad
check connection grip
inspect throttle body for dirt / sludge / grime
clean using a wet rag
make sure throttle plate opens and closes smoothly by hand
get the throttle body operation tested using a scantool
if OK then the pedal sensor is bad and needs to be replaced
if not OK then throttle body needs replacement

He's been around for a while - does no one know him personally to have a contact number? It'd be great to find out how he's doing or if he needs any assistance of sorts.

Brother me and syncview had answered your question. Sorry if you are not satisfied with our answers; but what ever you do as you have mentioned above don't use 5w20.

5w30,and 5W40 are OK, but not 5W20.

5W50 is used for vehicles being used beyond limits, rpm touching the red line (sports cars) or vehicles used for towing.

One major reason for high fuel consumption is the engine oil you are using. It's way too thick for your car. Shift to 5w30 or 10w30 or 5w40 viscosity grade oil.

Need your opinion.I have a Baleno 2003 with genuine loads single channel radiator.Most of the channels are blocked and that's why car tends to overheat a bit on the highway.Should I replace the radiator with aluminum one or get this one serviced??
P.S there is no leak in the current one
