I jacked up my car with both the rear wheels in air, rotated them and the left wheel hub was Too noisy, went to the mechanic, got it opened and there, the rear bearing was literally burned up, and all the little steel balls were in a bad shape. Any how I got the bearings changed again.. Alhamdulillah now as good as new..

@xulfiqar please solve my two queries,
(i) my 4EFE is drinking petrol like any thing,can it be a faulty MAP sensor? how can i know if i do have a faulty one( i can smell petrol from exhaust)
(ii) My RPM wire is connected from distributor, the electrician cuted out the wire, left the wire going to harness, and connected rpm wire directly to wire from distributor. the problem is, that when i re-connect the distributor to orignal wire from harness, the RPM stops working. i checked on ECU but no RPM signal is received there. i also checked the cutted wire and ground through ohm-meter and found that they are some how connected. how can i solve the issue?

Thanks xulfiqar for the valuable info.radiator was cleaned today, their was no trace of oil in it, water reservoir was full of oil though.I think either the deposits were from a previous head gaskit failure or the bottle was replaced as a second hand part and never cleaned.the fan clutch was also tightened as it was freely rotating. Now it roars when it gets warmed up. the temp is now running between 80_85

what if i buy softer and shorter springs so that comfort is not compromised??

Agar short bhi hoon aur soft bhi to phir aap key gaadi nichay aur tyre say lagay gee ... kuch to compromise karo .... Yup coilovers are costly plus the car becomes rock hard and a back breaker.very hard to drive daily.

fan clutch was tightened????

Is the fan clutch mount bracket worn out? or is the belt tensioner shot? There is no way you can just tighten a fan clutch unless you mean that your mechanic filled some silicone oil in it.

btw the oil in coolant will only be seen in the reservoir as its the highest point in the cooling system. It wont be seen anywhere else - it does mix with the alcohol in coolant to move and create havoc on the rubber bits.

the rpm signal is taken from the little black wire from the distributor, its called IG- and is also branched into the diagnosis port, one of its branch also ends near the ECU where the gauge then connects to.

Trace it - its not that complex, its a pretty straight forward simple circuit.

btw - is this car a swapped engine?

sir, why is it that cars with machined head face are more prone to overheating? or what made this the general belief?

The engines that use a steel layer headgasket require a surface finish of RA 50 or better, this finish gives a rainbow shine on the surface and looks almost polished, As we already know that such headgaskets are used in all aluminium engines, correct bolt torque is of paramount importance here - which also means that if TTY bolts were used and they show that they are stretched - replacement becomes mandatory.

rough finish on head surface for such engines is a sure shot way of disaster - its almost guaranteed.

The other reason is upset compression ratio, retarded compression timing from lack of head height etc.

i was thinking to drop my corolla 2013 2 inches
i was thinking to buy axio spring and cut them
now the question is
will they effect the suspension
will they effect the stability or balance of car
what are the pros and cons ??

when you cut springs they become stiffer,
when you lower a car you have to readjust the entire steering geometry because the camber angle goes out of control (thinner bolts are not the correct way.
Only do such when you can get the alignment dialed back to exact specification.

This bearing was new?

Yes bhai I installed brand new bearing about 4 weeks back, and one of them gave up, shocking for me. And yesterday again I installed a brand new one. I wonder how a new bearing can go that bad so quickly..

Thanks. Don't know what he did definitely did not put silicon oil in it.previously when I would turn the switch the fan would come on, now turning on after some time. The temp actually remains slightly below 80.plus after the fan was fixed it is starting with a shorter self previously took a 5 sec self now about 2.

My car is running good, the engine oil has done 800 km and is clear.

I did an Italian tune job the other day, a few hours later I removed the oil filler cap and peeked inside.

There was some carbon in the leftover oil , could it have come when the car was being revved?

Pcv is good

This is not thick sludge, seems like a powder suspended in the oil.

Car had a weird sound at idle since a long time, it has been decreasing since the car was fixed a couple of months back.

I feel it got significantly reduced after the revving

This is only in the tappet area, dipstick shows clean oil

I have Civix EXI 2006 AT. The car was run on CNG till around a year and a half back. It was giving a milage upto 9 KM but since last two months have dropped to a mere 5 KM.
Have done:
Ultrasonic of Injectors
Throttle body service multiple times from HONDA Service centre as well
Computerized tuning and scanning done with two different places
Fuel plugs replaced twice
Air filter changed recently

Can some one please shed some light on what will be the likely causes and if there is any car service centre in KHI other than Honda Service centre who can clear the issue as i have spend like 17k with them but to no avail.

car had done 99k kms and Timing belt is worn out but has not been changed (as per Honda service centre it does not affect milage)

dont buy FEBI branded items for something as important as wheel bearings, The factory ones were either F.A,G, NTN or SKF depending on the year and plant of manufacture.

Always use the best quality bearings specially fully sealed cartridges like the rears in Mercedes and the fronts in FWD cars.

Did your mechanic completely remove the bearing carrier and press it out on hydraulic press or did he have the half moon mercedes special tool that can pull the bearing and hub with carrier in place?

If he took out the carrier then it needs to be tightened back with the suspension loaded - or the car sits higher than normal.

The engine fan is not electric, it can not turn on with the switch.
