Hi Xulfiqar,
Had a timing belt break on me due to leaking camshaft seal. Long story short, after valve job and new head gasket and new seals engine was out back together. First I noticed some black oil in the coolant bottle. Realized this could be because the system was not flushed and since the galleys were open to the environment some seeped into the cooling system fine and dandy. The car was initially not loosing coolant. Right now fast forward 2-3 months, water in the coolant bottle is half, the oil and coolant mixture has increased to be more oil and less coolant, dark colored oil clearly distinguishable from the coolant. The mixture is not the very least creamy as seen on youtube or pictures across the web. There is black oil but yes it's still some way from being creamy but now mostly oil.
I really don't know where to bang my head, I know the mechanic may not have followed correct procedure and I don't expect them if I get this opened up again because simply they would not know. So I need to know whether this can be mitigated somehow or whether I should just end up getting a engine from shershah. The engine is clearly beyond 250k km's it's a 2006 JDM 4G15 lancer.
Most other reading points to oil cooler, I know mine has a transmission line heading into the radiator but not to sure about oil cooling since this is a cold climate spec car and have been unable to find any such reference to a oil cooler. Other is crack in the block(car never had these problems before, what is the probability of a block crack developing after a timing belt break at 100+ km/h) and finally my own consensus is the mechanics never checked the block for being level, would surely not have changed the head bolts and finally messed up the torquing bit. Considering all of this would be grateful to know what my options are
