@Xulfiqar Today my City 2001 Auto instrument cluster Fuel,Temp,Tachometer and turn signal stopped working any idea. Lights,Hazards, speedometer gauge working fine. A few months back i have disassembled my instrument cluster for bulb replacement & cleaning. Also, at that i time a thin wire of fuel guage broke by me by over torque of the screw that holds it. But, i properly soldered that also and was working right then.

FYI its 11.4l drain and fill w/oil filter for 1HDFTE. What you're telling is for 1HZ. Get your facts straight!

And its been a decade the same sequence is followed and guess what ? Nothing happened. Even on the other 2 LC100's I'm following the same procedure and the oil level stays at the full dot in the morning.
I'm facing this problem since last oil change.

See here's your problem. You always prefer third-party websites and substandard parts instead of factory service manual procedures/parts.

Probelm solved it was a Ignition Fuse malfunctioning.

AA,
Strut mounts and z links\sway bar links of my civic 2013 need replacement. Should i go for kabli or new parts(RBI thai made) in your opinion. Which more durable and long lasting.

Noted, but any experience about the quality of non oem parts as oem are expensive? I installed non oem engine oil mouting in my reborn and it was a mess, engine vibrations came to the cockpit.

Ok, I know you can afford this. What else can i say. Unjustified charges looks reasonable here in pakistan.

Lmao, just like you have a house to run, so does the mechanic, 8 hours of his time is not worth 6k? Like I said, go to a more inexperienced or a larger scale workshop, only then can you get cheaper rates than normal. But then don't be surprised if the seal leaks a day or two later

If you cannot afford it - then borrow some tools from freinds/relatives etc. and do it yourself.

Any workshop will charge you as it is heavy line work involving dropping the gearbox from the car and remounting it back.

The level of oil is slightly incorrect in yours - It maybe possible that your truck is parked at an incline or something when it was filled.

But the reason you are seeing it full when checked after shutdown is because some oil is still in the cyl head. After parking overnight all of it drips down.

I usually like to see the level slightly lower than full when checked after cold shutdown after fill. (oil also expands when hot).

tip: when filling up engine oil in a 1HD or 1HZ or 13B or 13Z industrial etc. - always pop up the dipstick from its tube so its an air leak This prevents oil from pooling in the cylinder head when filling, If it pools up and takes a while to drip down when charging oil in the engine, it can get sucked into the intake system and hydraulic lock the engine.

Also make sure the dipstick tube and dipstick handle O rings are nice and soft - if they are hard, it will cause air leak and also oil leak.

@Xulfiqar sir Some mechanic alter this setting by slightly moving the lower crankshaft pully clockwise by 20 to 30 degrees, whats the benefit of doing so, and what happens if I get the timing setting to the factory default as mentioned in the picture.

Anybody have idea about siddique autos auto mechanic in gulshan 13b. Charging reasonable amount for torque converter seal.

@Xulfiqar is o-ring required for honda city 2001 torque converter.

Yes approx 20 degree. I I've insisted on factory default settings after valve seals replacement, but he didn't agree and told me that I will not be responsible if anything happens to the engine. I don't have knowledge of this configuration so without arguing I agreed.

The engine will refuse to start as it will give a TDC error, Even one tooth off on it gives an immediate CEL after start.
