Gentleman if you can guide ,from where one can buy genuine belts for alternator ,AC , of good brands like , Continental,Goodyear,bando in Karachi , desperately searching ,but market is full of shit quality.and no body guides you in market.

Don't know exactly if its G40 or not.

As per mechanic, orignal gearbox was 4-speed but 5th gear was added later. Now transmission is 5-speed manual.

The transmission sounds incompatible. A gear cannot be simply added. The mechanic who said this must be beaten with a gear lever. You can change the diffs but if its a 4x4 you may have to change more than 1. That’s expensive. The mechanic who did the swap didnt know what he was doing.

I'll get gearbox checked by someone else. It'll be nice if you can advise whom should I visit for gearbox check in Lahore.

At the moment 4x4 is not active. What are the options for diff?

Will increasing tyre size help lowering RPMs? Don't want to go for wide tyres so thinking about 235/85 R16. Will it work?

dont try to treat your truck as a bun kabab and try to add and remove stuff (like piyaz and andaa) - G40 is a 4 spd gear - and what was bolted behind it as the transfer case is also in question and what diffs are you running on either end of the truck.

as @capsat has mentioned - visit that shop to get a guideline, OR

visit the market right next to that shop and choose your choice of belt, Are you facing short life of belt? are your pulleys in good condition? what is causing rapid early wear?

I Want to replace the transmission fluid but dont know the fluid type and quantity.

No issue of early wear.opened radiator for cleaning,but found out a leak,so bought new one of LOADS, thought of replacing belts as they developed cracks.but could not find any ... After visiting many shops,everyone has stock that has already become rock hard and shredding threads,and most of them doesn't have any kind of stamp.
Some time ago,you mentioned a shop name in some other thread,from where one can buy, Continental ,Goodyear belts,that's why requested for your help.

Assalamo Alaikum Bhai,
My cousin's car Daihatsu Mira was parked & standing in front of his house, due to recent rain, water entered the car up to dashboard level.

Now after almost 10 days, water has been dried and we were able to reach and see what happened.
Now mechanic changed spark plugs, checked fuses and finally concluded that ECU is causing issue. It was true as when we opened ecu cover, it was full of water floating there.

Now please guide, how to fix this issue & from where in Karachi?

The little shop on saeed manzil?
Its opposite the AH sons shock absorber shop there, they have a lot of belts.

Lots of shops in plaza sell branded belts too, dont feel and touch the belts for experience, all will be hard as they are kevlar reinforced.

For your due diligence you are supposed to make the pulleys squeaky clean before installing new belt

Dont try to engage the 4x4 becoz on such botched jobs the front and rear diffs maybe different. Thats a good way to grenade your driveline. If you were in isb i could guide you to the right mechanics. Check the diffs and The gear. Increasing tire size is not a solution. Rpms would decrease by like 10-15%.

ignition fuse is blowing up!
so it happened with me second time from past 2 days the ignition fuse blows and engine doesnt start anymore. any leads what could be the issue ?
car is suzuki liana and have changed coils a day before because of missing

opened up my engine cover, found one of the coil grip wire to be loose. Installed new pin inside and so far fuse hasnt blown again. Will update if isse arises again

Good day Xulfiqar.
I was wondering if there is a way to clean out the exhaust system of a car. We are correctly rebuilding the engine of an Indus and putting all the Toyota signature replacement parts in it(costed an arm and a leg to source them). Since, it has been smoking a bit for a past year and also consuming a little bit of oil, the exhaust is bound to be gunked up. Do you have any tip on how we can clean it...kinda like the caustic soda and citric acid trick you shared a while back. Btw, that worked wonders for our old cooling systems.
