I have this car from last 2 years and the coolant level is on minimum level in reservoir bottle. I don't which coolant is there so to be on safe side I wanted to increase the level upto maximum level in reservoir bottle. Can I add simple or distilled water into it? Or should I go for complete coolant flush and then readd the new one?

Almost 6-7 months ago, All of sudden, my car got underpowered (just like failed clutch plate) and finally stopped at traffic signal. My compressor is of Terios Kid(Duet compressor) which was not ON at that time due to cold weather.

Upon examination it was found that A/C belt was little jam (A/c was not switched ON when this issue came).

Auto Electrician came and broke the belt and brought back car to normal position. I left car in this condition without A/C for long time almost 6 months plus.

Now when I went to A/c shop, he physically checked compressor and tried to rotate pulley by hand manually(Without switching ON A/C means without power) it was tight jam.

He said Compressor is seize and ended now. Is this method of troubleshooting correct or he is making fool?

Yes if compressor bearing is not changed timely or if bearing starts giving noise sometimes then compressor seizes in end result inflicting huge damage on pocket

I need advice regarding a faulty Diesel Turbo, the details are given in the below-mentioned post:

Charade Diesel Turbo: Should I Remove or Rebuild it?

In short, the turbo was ceased and rebuilt by some Jugadoo technician for cheap but couldn't last for an hour, immediately failed and leaking oil ruining the newly built engine which is otherwise working fine.

What should I do now? Go for another costly experiment to rebuild it as mentioned in the post or just remove it?

Its a negative control, the field controller positive is constant feed.

does the compressor clutch spin? or is the pulley jammed solid? - if the pulley is jammed but the clutch hub can spin, then remove the pulley and replace its bearing. Takes a total of 30 minutes of work on the bench once the compressor is out - the bearing is easily available as almost all denso small units use the same bearing. - Set the clutch airgap correctly for your compressor, on denso units with rubber dampened clutch hub its usually 0.4-0.7mm

if the clutch hub is jammed, locate your old AC mechanic and kick him in the sack because he forgot to vacuum/oil/gas the system correctly. AC compressors dont die - they are killed.

Is resealing a honda power steering pump doable as a diy? Also does it hold? Workshop I go to has recommended to just get a new power pump or a used one from scrapyard as resealing doesn't work and the leaking usually comes back in a month or so. The new one is very expensive and don't want to get a used one. So was wondering if this is a doable diy and will it hold?

diy will depend on the model of your Honda, if its the civic that was born again, with the pump tucked under the engine, the DIY part of removing the pump will increase your cussing vocabulary by 200%.

resealing is not difficult but you need to pay attention to how tight the bolts need to be. If the pump is only leaking and not noisy yet, you can rebuild it, if its noisy under load, get another pump.

Its a plain old vane type hydraulic pump.

p.s. I would suggest to buy a new oil suction hose and tank too - the suction hose cooks badly on those cars and is a difficult one to replace, Buy a new Honda genuine spare part only, any aftermarket hose will leak in a few weeks.

the pump is only leaking and not noisy yet

The pump isn't noisy yet as I usually keep a keen eye on the reservoir tank.

you need to pay attention to how tight the bolts need to be.

Yeah I'll do some more research before buying anything.

I have seen videos replacing Compressor clutch, fixing seized compressors etc.

So if i ground it, controller will set to max output?
Or FR is constant 12v feed?

the alternator will literally boil the battery over if you do that.

The clutch is fully rebuildable and even sold as separate spare part. The bearing is probably siezed in yours, A denso compressor doesnt require any pullers at all, just a 10mm socket and ratchet, and a pair of snap ring pliers. The pulley literally slides off by hand. - If its bearing is heatsiezed, you may need a puller which is easy work. Its a regular job at any generic workshop around the world.

before any of this, reach down to the compressor and try to spin the center hub, if it can be moved the compressor is ok and the pulley needs a new bearing. Ask A/C cheeta ustaad to install a new bearing on the pulley. Set the airgap correctly after the job.

if the hub is not movable, you need a new compressor.

No sorry, i mean if want to make a controller to work just like dual charging mode, i will be providing ground side pwm, and for testing i can ground the FR pin to see if controller responds to it. Or does it makes the volts goes above 14?

if you direct it, you will have above 18v and a fried field controller

And if i let the unused with 1k resistor to IG pin.
It will goes to minimum mode and doesn't make any volts? Or will work like in case of non Eld D series?

Any experts here. Please put some light on the issue I am facing.
My santro's Hydraulic PS has leaked it's oil today after it had been reworked 3 years ago, the oil has been leaking from inside the steering rack boot,
The steering rack oil seals were replaced 3 years ago. But one blunder in my opinion is that the Sh*** mechanic used Zic ATF DXIII, which is not recommended to be used as PSF, at that time I didn't pay attention to it,
Any suggestions now? Of course oil seals again need to be replaced & which PSF to use?

Also steering is making hard noises while moving Right and left due to loss of oil in reservoir bottle, mechanic temporarily refiled bottle today

after 3 years it need re-build. be careful with the PS fluid they use this time.
