So yeah, did some research. I gotta load the circuit through headlights and whatever else is grounded through that path, and if I find any voltage/potential difference between two ends of the ground, I would just have to backtrack my way to the component/connection that's causing it?

This is exactly what needs to be done. It takes time but this is why electrical diagnostic is charged quite high.

This time, I have a chinese clone of the CD-70, with an elusive gearbox. Half shifts from 3rd to 4th often make the gears "slip", as seen here. Further shifts to correct the slipping gears result in a loud THUNK.

Can you explain why that would be the case? Is a complete revamp of the gearbox needed, or is there some easy fix?

P.S: Thanks for your amazing knowledge. Due to you, I managed to fix up my chinesium engine for the most part, and other parts of the bike, as well as start wearing safety gear. You do make a difference!

Youre welcome

In your case, you will need to teardown the gearbox and find out if the shift drum or its actuation fork is bad, (drum is internal while the actuation fork is in clutch housing)

Sir i have a civic x 1.5t. Gave the car to a honda dealer to repaint both bumpers. Driving home i noticed everytime i floor the car, the rpm locks at around 3-4k and it feels like the car will stall any minute. Drivable on low revs but if i floor it, completely dies. I will drive it back to the dealer tomorrow, anything particular to look out for so they dont rob me into shotgunning parts at it? No check engine light so far and the car has nearly 100k on the odometer. My gut says it could be a failing fuel pump but i dont really know.

Shopping around for my bike, I found out that certain parts claim to be "Made in Japan", like the magnet and stator seals for the CD-70, which are offered by companies like "NOK" and "SUN". Is this just marketing bullshit, or does Japan really make such seals and manage to send them to Pakistan for under 50 cents???

The aforementioned parts seem to not be available from Atlas honda for some reason...

Oil seals are made in japan and are usually regular sized and can be measured and referenced from an engineering handbook. Just like bearings.

In 100% of Pakistani import cases today the oil seals are imported in bulk packs and repackaged locally, some products even have a lot of locally made names.

And on protective gear, I can't seem to find any motorbike boots or properly certified helmets (Think ECE). The locally available stuff puts a big question mark onto safety. Any guidance on where I could go to find "properly certified" motorbike gear?

Unfortunately a vague description wont help, it maybe a few different items including a failing charging system.

how to do it ? and i noticed temp guage is also not working - car got heatup recently and guage was near C and water was full. Should I go for a meter change for working guages? got them repaired but doesn't seems to fix the issue.

My 2013 Prius V shows up a check engine light, which in turn is the ECU telling us via OBD that a "Fuel Injector Rich" issue is happening in Bank 1 or 2 (iirc). The car has been giving an average of 18 kmpl since we bought it a year ago...

The JACKASS ustaad told us, "hii oktane dalwao SARR A1 gaddi tauddi, parfarmunce gauddi hai (LMAOO couldn't help laughing at his face), fuel pump SERVUUSE karunga sab set ho ga.", so I noped.

Is there a known O2 sensor issue, or is the fuel injector acting up? Any steps to diagnose? The engine runs okayish, exhaust doesn't give black smoke. This is one of those weak piston ring models, which burns a little oil.

These charsi USTAADS are why i dont even bring my CD70 near them... Once drove my prius in an extremely humid and hot weather (48C!) and the ac slowly stopped giving off cool air. Went warm. Felt like an oven! Went to the same CARTOON ustaad, he ran a OBD scan, and the ECU gave a inverter pump malfunction code... "SARR gudddi naawaa PUMP chahiye, set ho jaye gi GUDDI."

Family member insisted on installing a junkyard pump for 10k, the original being 60k. Went home, opened the bonnet...

"SAKHT GANJA WALAY USTAAD", I thought, while cursing myself for not checking the coolant earlier. The pump just couldn't get enough coolant through. Jackasses.

Family is dead set on replacing this JDM orphaned Prius with a HAVAL H6 or some other chinese suv. How should I convince them otherwise? 120 lakhs for a chinese trashbox...

And are Hybrids optimal for highway use? I keep insisting on getting a pure ICE car for the extensive highway use I have (100+ kms per day), yet fam insists that hybrids somehow are god's gift on all terrains, and not purely designed for city use...

What is your opinion on the matter? Also, is 10w-30 API-SP oil with 4500 kms oil change intervals for a leaky ring piston Prius 2NZ-FXE unreasonable? my gut says so...

Yeah I'm sure there's nothing much you can say but I thought I might try my luck. Thanks anyways, appreciate your help.
Two different honda dealers tried shotgunning parts as their diagnostic method and failed. Changed spark plugs and messed with the throttle (ghusl on all sensors I'm assuming), tried a different fuel pump apparently(no luck).
No error codes on their scanner.
Surprisingly, its much better and the issue only shows up close to redline now after 5k rpm when floored. Drives perfectly fine on the daily. The problem feels like premature redlining at 5.4k rpm where the car just stops accelerating.
The other dealership said 'head khulay ga tou pata chalay ga', after which i simply left. I am so frustrated, willing to pay for whats actually wrong just not wanting to install random new parts hoping they work.

Can you have it tested with various instruments against a good known?

Nowadays there is an actual journeyman level mechanic who only specializes in drivability diagnosis, Their entire job is to give final exhaustive diagnosis of whats actually wrong. They arent cheap at all and are equipped to the gills with weird instruments.

Im sure some will exist there.

Xulfiqar bhai is it okay to tamper with the airbox on a motorbike?

I took my CD70 filter housing, changed the filter and removed the top snorkel. Rejetting the carbs, louder sound, and a bit more power.

Reading up online, this seems like a big no no? If so, why?

@Xulfiqar I also changed the Head Rotor in my 5L-E engine diesel pump and ordered brand new from Denso Pakistan but they wrongly sent the Head Rotor of 2LT-E instead of 5L E which we fitted and came to know about wrong part after fitting it. Now the jeep is giving a little black smoke at high rpm and fuel economy is not good. Is there big difference in both head rotors. Today i called them and they told that Head rotor for 5L E is out of stock.
