Atrium Mall is in Karachi's Saddar region near to the Avari Towers. It would be great, if anyone can post on some technical details and specifications of the 3D screen and hall. They have 2 normal ones and 1 3D screen theater with a seating capacity of 170, 150, 310 respectively. 3D screens can be enjoyed with the take-away glasses. Tickets cost 350 for normal ones and 500 for 3D + 150 for glasses i.e. 650 for the 3D experience, thats quite nominal I think. Theaters are equipped with Dolby Digital and DTS Surround also...

Any more info...?

If the Technology/Quality is same as we have here in states then you guys gonna love it. I watched Avatar on IMAX 3D and Inception on IMAX (without 3D ofcourse) and i won't watch any movie on theater without IMAX.

Atrium doesnt have IMAX... only regular 3D

Whatever you do those those in dubai never watch a 3D movie in Grandcinemas unless you want to throw away time and money, they don't show movies on IMAX theater anymore unless it's some special event, I watched a movie in the IMAX in 2004 and this time it was not operational. Will go to this atrium cinema whenever it is open to public.

not a big fan of so called 3D every time i watch a 3D movie my eyes hurt and i feel pressur eon my brain for long periof of time

from what i experience is imax screen is bigger and lower in contrast ratio than real 3d ....

Yes, I have heard that too, this continuous 3D exposure effects people vulnerable to migraine type problems. But I think if you dont use 3D glasses then this can be mitigated, or is that wrong?

Without glasses you can't experience 3d effects.

IMAX screens are bigger as big as 2-3 floors high building as what I remember

Ofcourse if you face problem watching 3d movie than you better not. Without glasses it looks like two overlapped motion pictures.
