A bit of a set back today, I was trotting along to work at 60km/h and the rear tire (one or both) locked up, was a very close call. Alhumdulilah I was safe and the car didn't hit anything.

I got it towed home, it felt like one of the rear brakes jammed on me. I did get the awd system fixed 5 days ago and I hope it's not the rear differential. That would be very expensive. Wish me luck.

Update:
Upon reaching home and doing further investigating it seems to be on the one side only and there's tell tale signs of it being a bad wheel bearing.
Upon removal of the tire on that corner, there was some leaked silver silicone grease on the hub, this is the hub for which there was already a known bad wheel bearing (I noticed a whine a month back) and it got beaten up pretty well when we were installing the springs in the rear. I also heard a pop about 2 seconds before the tire locked up.

Goes to show these things should be dealt with ASAP and not left for later or this can happen. I didn't know a wheel bearing could seize like this and jam a wheel almost completely.

absolutely, the main thing is noone was hurt, and secondly the car was not damaged which is a bonus. insha'Allah it will be back on the road soon

The wheel bearing was indeed bad makes noise and is very rusty. I didn't drive the car after replacing it tho.
I'm afraid of the worst (toast differential) so I'll get it towed to a professional mechanic and find out for certain. I'll keep everyone here posted, thank you for the well wishes.

Here's the update!!! The lip has been installed. Say MashAllah.
The car has lots of dirt, grime and salt from the snowy season but didn't want to keep you waiting. It's more aggressive than what I had in mind but I still like it.
What do you think? give a rating out of 10 for the lip.

absolutely amazing the lip looks amazing, just a suggestion from me: go for an rs3 style grille (its the honeycomb black grille without rs3 badging) that will make the front a bit more aggressive without looking ricey

I have seen the honeycomb rs3 grills, and I agree it'll definitely soup up the front but I'm a bit on the fence on that. It's something almost everyone has done to the s3 and a3. It is also a bit of a poser look tbh. There's a kit available so I may do it.
But for now another oem part that I always wanted showed up in the local classifieds.... I might spring for that. It'll add a lot of character to the car.

Even for the lip I purposely made it mid level aggressive since I wanted to avoid over the top out there ness. Kinda going for OEM plus/ stealth look without attracting the cops (also why I didn't get a custom license plate) since I'm gonna go stage 2 (300whp) soon.

Here's an update just to keep the thread fresh. I just travelled to Pakistan and stored the car for the time being. Hopefully will be back soon InshAllah with nice updates.
