And its not necessary that you use OD on hills.
Whenever you're on motorway & you want to over take someone on 100kph or beyond, if you will downshift to 2 car will drop to a 4+ rpm.. In this scenario if you press OD and floor it, you'll see the rpm drop was also not so big and Acceleration was also good..

Second usage of OD is like if you're going really fast or on 100-120 or coming downhills, if you are not brake smoker, you should press OD and you'll feel a good braking power has come in to action reducing the speed of vehicle and allowing you to take sharp curves or slowing down in hills.

I'm using A/T since 2014 in Suzuki liana eminent 1.8 and nissan b14 1.8 both have OD feature and whenever you'll use it for long time frame, you'll get a good command over it.

When I was buying auto people use to say "yar charhai pe Beth jati hai to falana" and some used to say "manual jese maza nai" so I'd say bhai manual nazdeek bhi nai ati & if you're a drag racer then stay away from auto.

Ya I do use OD for this purpose a lot. before pushing brake pedal i turn off overdrive auto it put car into down gear then apply brake and turn on overdrive. and yes it do helps in better acceleration as well, when you want to get little more power.

I was just explaining to him in simple ways.
I also know that OD off will not help in hilly areas like climbing natliagali road because on that roads any auto have to climb in 1 or 2nd gear. For which L or 2 is recommended to lock gear.
In D or 3 it will still upshift to 3 or 4 gear when throttle is left.

Many people have zero understanding of auto transmission. They just put it in D and drive. I know about the complete concept of D, Over drive, 3, 2 and L.
4 speed auto On Motorway 120km/h in final gear is around 3000rpm.
If OD OFF is on it will shift to 3 gear and certainly rpm will raise to 4000-5000rpm.

Agree on the use of OD for engine braking but On downhill L or 2 will provide more braking than OD beacuse being in lower gear like 1 or 2 when speed is between 20-50km/h usually in hilly areas.

Or ye be bilkul sahi bat ha ke log bas fazool batien sun lete he ke manual charyi pe achi ha or auto bekar. But I find auto more practical because there no clutch is involved just put in L or 2 according to speed and enjoy best possible acceleration.

Drove my 1.0L Vitz in L gear on some steeps of natayagali with 5 person and people were struggling with their 1300 Corolla and city.

If car is in D mode, wont the car will run auto in 1st or 2nd gear in hilly areas like nthiagali ? coz it will give room to transmission to change to 3rd gear where its needed and downshift to 2nd or 1 gear where its needed ? tbh i never kept car in L or D2 in this area. drive in D mode. What do you say about it ?

1NZ-FE auto transmission, ecu & wiring will cost approx 175000 in Karachi and prices going up every passing week.

very soon scrap containers will be released as real scrap no nose cuts, no half cuts no working engines / transmission.

135 SCRAP containers at port(s) is marked by customs for destuffing since August 2019, every container has to be emptied / destuffed. Irrespective of items & conditions a hammer ball & a hydraulic drill is used to make stuff appear as actual scrap.

Very rightly said, my Nissan supports D-2-N movement like it does not have any lock in between so it's really easy to downshift and I only feather the brakes, and mostly manage downshift in hills to control & od helps me on like highways where I want to downshift to only one gear.

And yes I've been to northern areas & if you have full control over auto, literally manual doesn't stands a chance at all in hills.

Anyways, I believe the brother with 1nzfe auto has got good amount of information.

Yes it does that but it does it really late if you let the motion do it for you. If you timely switch to 2 and then to L you'll have good amount of power left for you to climb a steep slope, but if you're relying on auto feature to shift to 1 while being in D & if slope gets steeper, you'll feel like your car is annoying piece of crap haha, that feeling is what people say auto ki pick nai hoti charhai pe.

And I've played with auto alot so, honestly speaking if you have changed the gear prior to car shifting from D to 1, literally you'll have so much torque to spare for steep slope.

Most people drive in D. Which is totally fine.
But other real issue comes when there is constant shifting between gears for example going uphill at speed btw 20-40km/h most auto cars will shift again and again between 2 and 3rd gear which will eventually heat up transmission if lever is left in D. But if you put lever in 2 it will lock in 2 gear and won't shift to 3 so you have got more torque for greater steeps and in turns.
Same transmission heatup incident occurred with my father on his land cruiser at some hilly track because he was driving constant in D and transmission fluid was old so the A/T light came on.
Next day I changed the transmission oil.
