As far as my tcc solenoid dtc is concerned it has been from day one.. However my fuel average has decreased significantly.. I average around 10kmpl at motorways as well as in city.. I checked today your described pattern.. The car reduces some rpm while cruising at 80 kmph... I will take my car to usman.. And see what he recommends.. The error was there before the transmission rebuild.. Plus one more thing.. I had its fuel pump replaced after it went kaput.. The mechanic installed the fuel pump of another Toyota.. Just the motor.. Not the whole assembly.. May be this is the cause.. Plus some times it accelerates nicely.. As it used to.. Some times it's normal.. Not sluggish I would say.. I was planning to have fuel pump removed get the filter changed and see what happens..
In short I couldnt find any difference after removal of Error code P0773 from ECU. It drives the same with same speed on given RPM ... If TCC is engaging now then why I am not feeling any difference that what I am trying to say.
It cannot be felt as gear shift, its applies very gently, thats why I said to connect a scanner to it and drive the car and see what gear is called for and if tcc is being requested 100%
Its 2020 how much more time would it take to correct this, I was there in the early 00s before I left
Seems like the same to me, short cuts and idiotic practices prevail. And most/all dont want to pay for quality.
This will only work if a member carries a scanning device..
No
Your mechanic can connect his scanner and drive the car with you to see the activity.
Some tests require road test while scanner is connected and someone reads the data.
Sir do you have any idea how to add these parameters in Torque App as I have ELM scanner device but it doesnt have this PID like Input Speed or lockup status
I dont think torque reads transmission PID, you need a good dedicated scanner like toyota techstream or launch etc
Hmm ok then I should visit some good Electrician having techsream
IMO there is some issue in ECU also bcoz if TCC is not locking then it should throw a code but it doesn't showing any code so maybe ECU is not requesting lockup
If your ecu is in failsafe mode, it will turn on the engine check lamp.
But i would suggest you get it live tested by the same mechanic.
Also make sure you are driving with enough speed that calls for tcc lockup
Scan result z afterwards the technician erased the fault codes
Post erasure
I bought this car in 2015.. Got it scanned than. Tcc error was there.. However the mileage on highway driving was better.. Used to give me 550 km in full tank in city drive.. Now maxi2i get is around 480... Even highway driving has minimal effect..I between I have got transmission rebuilt and engine assembly changed.. Both by different mechanics.. Engine used was from same specification and ecu was retained.. Fuel pump was also changed
However if there was any ecu engine mismatch, any fuel pump pressure issue it would have showed in the codes.. There ain't any..
The cars odo is at present 132000 km.. Thr atf was changed at 85000 km than at 105000 km.. Half fill method

there is no error for low pump pressure unless you have GDI engine, at max you will see bad fuel trims if the pump is severely weak.
