Autophile trip to Wana and Peshawar (Pics)

Last week Libra asked me had I taken some more helicopter trips recently, I replied not since October 2006.

But this trip to Peshawar and Wana, the capital of South Waziristan tribal agency near Afghanistan border came out of nowhere on Tuesday April 9.

Some really exciting pictures of heli-ride and off-roading in Waziristan for fellow Pakwheelers.

I will continue posting Wana pix, but now come back to Peshawar.

Reached Peshawar around 8.30pm on Tuesday and after checking in at guest house, rushed straight to Namak Mandi at Charsi's place.

You cannot get the delicious lamb karahi and tikkas anywhere in the world other than Namak Mandi.

Here are a few glimpses, no details pix of food as had my fingers in the karhahi.

@palaykhan. sorry brother, it all happened so suddenly. It was late when we reached Peshawar and left early morning for Wana, and drove straight to Isloo from the airfield.

At 7.00 am left guest house and reached aviation unit at Peshawar airbase.
