I just saved the headache of going for 5000 km check of my grande , went to Liqui Moli outlet in front of defence 2 , a very neat and clean place , changed the oil 5/40 fully synthetic got the filter for 800 from Younas autos , air cleaner , ac filter and battery water work done at the same place. Total cost inside 6000 , better oil plus time saved. No need to clean plugs at 5000. Will get them done at 10000 km.

Did they also check the suspension and undercarriage? And what if tomorrow something went wrong and 3S workshop refuses to cover a big loss under warranty?

Clean plugs at 20K. Your car has Laser Iridiums being 2ZR-FE. Replacement at 100K km.

sir you have opted the right choice of oil grade, I think 10w30 is perfect for this car but my only concern is, why didn't you go for Toyota Genuine Motor Oil imported from japan. its also 10w30, only difference is, this one is SN and petron+ is SM.
according to my knowledge SN is better.

plugss dont need tobe cleaned for this car even at 20k..cleaning these plugs would result in iradium tips being damaged....just replace at 100k ..notting else...

It does not do any harm to engine. Even 20W-50 goes well till 5K which came in the new engine. As long as the oil is not fake and you change it at regular intervals nothing happens to engine. Tried and tested since 1987 with cars running in great nick after couple of lakhs kims.

^^ are you sure about this ? i think its explicitly mentioned in manual the oil which is poured in at factory and i think its not 20W-50. i will take picture and upload meanwhile if any one has access to manual now he can verify.

I asked the service guy generating the job card that what oil they were pouring in and he said "20W-50 which came in your engine from factory". I said him I want 10W-30 and he said he would have to check from the store and he called and checked if it was available then he billed it.

It's absolutely fine oil.

Sir, I have been following this thread since its beginning. I was a bit confused in deciding between Altis 1.6 and Altis 1.8 CVT (Non Grande) but I will now be going to book Altis 1.6 soon, In shaa Allaah.

I have read your initial reviews about Altis 1.6. Now, since you have completed 5K mileage, can you answer these questions:

1. Any difference in any department of car you felt when the car was new and now?

2. Any issues/problems, even minute ones, faced by you, so far?

3. I am planning to go for super white as it is the easiest colour to maintain, and requires less quantum of detailing. What would be your input?

4. How much is 0-100 Km response time if you have done it so far?

5. How would you rate your current Corolla as compared to your last Corolla, in terms of pick, acceleration, and mileage.

6. Any other advice, which you would like to give to some one opting for Altis 1.6, after owning one yourself.
