I saw Cummins P5000e at Metro but I can guarantee you that its a Pakistani made geny and not Made in USA. I wouldn't be surprised if it uses the same internals as other Chinese Generators.
I would suggest everyone to get a good Chinese geny and maintain it with care e.g. use branded new oil (instead of 'khula tel' which many people use) and regularly drain oil after 100 hours, clean air filter element regularly, and run it on petrol every now and then and you should be good to go for 3-4 years minimum.

The quote seems slightly steep. However do keep in mind that these all in one quotes usually are heavily inflated after implementation. Just make sure you tell the dealer that XYZ amount is final and NO MATTER WHAT you won't pay a single rupee more. Not for petrol, not for transportation of mechanic etc, not for their 'chai pani'.

Do not get a dedicated Gas geny. Get a petrol one and then add a gas kit for it (wont cost more than a couple of thousand rupees). There are various reasons e.g. you get dual fuel option but rings would also last long if you use it every now and then on petrol. Secondly you will have alternate fuel option in case of gas loadshedding
