Best AC

Well, this March I brought 2 LG 1.5 Ton AC (Jet Cool) each for Rs. 38,500/- and this includes complete installation with extra long Almunium Piping because the distance of the unit and outer was far.

I have taken decission for March installation because I know that in start of summer the prices will go up due to shortage.

I rather suggest to go and opt for LG, but if you have good budget 1st recommendation is Mr. Slim than General LG on 3rd choice and after this you have all other brands so should choose anyone you like

if power / bills is not a problem go for original general ! no comparison of piston v/s rotary compressors.

I have experienced almost every brand in my office and home in the past 10-12 years... Pel, Dawlance, Hier, SG, LG, Waves, Mitsu, General...

Currently I am using an LG, a Waves and a Mr. Slim...

My Conclusion is, if you have a higher budget, buy a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim there is No AC matching to its performance and quality available in the market right now. Same goes for General.

If you have a slightly lower budget Go for LG... Otherwise Go for any brand, all are same, just the outer shell is different... They perform well for 2 years, after that its your luck but in most of the cases they just die on you or need regular maintenance. like Gas filling or thermostat problem etc.

BTW... I don't consider Sabro an A/C at all...

Any idea how could one cater the fluctuating voltage problems and extreme low voltage problems?

In khi, how can one make an AC run in such a condition? Even stabilizers are of not much help Please advice what things can help in these problems...

Currently I am using no stabilizer with my 1.5 ton AC. It's a nice question since imported ACs hardly will considered to be working in a worst situation like in Pakistan. Only local brands can focus the local issues.

I was using General 1.5 window type A/C in my room and last month i bought 1 TON split A/C for my room from Metro.

I was going for Haier but than i looked at all of them checked the specs spoke to different people and bought Kenwood 1 ton :p.

So far its performing well the installer told me kenwood also got Mitsubhishi compressor not sure though but i was happy with its finish.

BTW i bought it for 22300 Rs.

www.RNI.com.pk they are manufacturing these kenwood a/c's in pakistan.

1. General, Panasonic & Mitsubishi (the best available in Pak)
2. LG, Samsung
3. Toshiba, Hitachi

5. Dawlance, Waves, PEL, Super Asia, Orient, Sabro (and other local brands)

i have a 1.5 ton Lg Split Plasma Gold.

got it in 2002 and i have not changed the gas, never has been out of commission and i put it on 24 and it stays like that all the time, throughout the day.

i have a 2 ton mitsubishi mr slim in the lounge since 2002 and i have had it repaired almost every season, mostly because the machinery is more complex than the simple LG

my brother is using HAIER and he loves it, my other brother is using a Dawlance and he hates it.

thats my 2 cents.

I have a LG 1.5 ton I bought last summer and I am completely satisfied but there is a change of distribution ship. Now it has been handed over to PEL and they will start their operation after September. So dealers says that there are issues with the after sales service and parts will not be available if something goes wrong.

As Far As I Know....Mitsubishi Is Known For Its Compressor Technology Since Ages......We Have Mitsubish Window Type From Japan Having Heater Funtion Too In 1.5 Ton And Its Just Insane....!! Working From Last 12-14Yrs...Same As Sanyo..Window A/c Made In Japan.....Work's Great....!! But Heavy On Electricity Thats For No Doubt....!!

I Think Mitsubishi Mr SLim Is The Best Choice As Far As It Looks And People Speak....!! Its Won't Be 100% With All Users...Some Also Might Have Face Problems But Overall......If Found Mitsubishi Better Than All......Infact LG Also Goes Good But As Per PEL Is Taking It....So Can't Say Anything....!!

General Is No Doubt Best Still Being Rock Solid On Compressor And Strong Beating Running....!! Heavy On Bills Due To Old Compressor Tech....!!

in my own opinion, if you treat your a/c right it will treat you right as well..

my a/c is always on 24 degrees or 23, never lower than that, so it dosent overwork itself.
its always on a huge stabalizer, the filters get cleaned twice a month and it gets serviced once a year THOROUGHLY!...

i guess if you take care of it and keep it out of stress then it will work fine for years.

if you put it on 18 and all day long its working to acheive 18 degrees centigrade then its life is going to be short lived....

Thats a very good advice... dunno why i din think of it before.

i've had many ac's go bad, i do blame myself as i never got stablizers when i shifted to splits.

I don't have a stabilizer. My electrician says it is not required.
