I m using General 1.5 Ton Split for last 4 years and Mashallah its great. Bought that in Rawalpindi in 2009 and it was having 1 year Warranty.

Heavy on pocket but cooling is at par with window ac ma sha Allah

We never run it below 26 n that too on first floor n gree on ground floor are being run bw 16 n 20

1. Lowest temp selection is 18 nt 16
2. No auto restart aftr pwer break down so raat ko jab garmi lagay thn u hv to restart it. I was wondering if thr is any systm to mKe it auto restart. Liken is se bijli ki bachat hojati hai as mostly subah tk room thanda rehta with fan on ups

well i have 2 general window a/c's which are only 2-3 year younger then me and never broke down. but never had a general split ac. right now i have my a/c set at 28 and believe me, in Sargodha's hot temperature, its very chilly in here! n it restarts after electricity outage too we never put our a/c below 26. u dont need it at 20 or 16 to get the cooling. if the a/c is healthy, it should work well. if its 40 degree outside and 26 inside, then its very comfortable inside. im against setting very low temps, it can be very dangerous if u get in and out of the room. so, always maintain a comfortable temperature, not too cold...

I have gree, general, haier and sabro....only gree is able tp work. I only get 180-200 voltage...only gree is able to cool...
And Larkana is one of the hottest cities of pakistan ...temp goes to 52c

Agreed,larkana and nearest areas are worst in such seasons.nearest larkana areas even goes 54c

No other than these 2 in split AC's...!! Have 2x general 2 ton and mitsubishi 2x 1.5...!! They just freeze the room in 20-25 mins..!! General is bit heavy on pocket it consumes electricity more than any brand, but it is the best AC producer.

Ok kindly tell me why my haier HSU -12LEK03e6 sucks so bad with average cooling and it has ruined the wall because of thay water which goes out.this one is 1ton.seriously i miss my japanese panasonic and hitachi AC's in quetta.

Well the leaking water might be a bad installation and get the ac checked by official haier if your ac is in warranty.

I myself have the same haier ac in 18LEK 1.5ton and it works perfectly.Cooling the room in half hour quite nicely.

The newer model of haier 18LK or something is also quite good with a power consumption of only 1600W. Haier makes good ACs but obviously if your budget allows Mitsubishi and the japanese conpanies are the best.

I myself am looking for a 2ton ac in the range of 55-60k. Wanted to buy haier but there arent any newer models in 2ton.So any suggestions?

Gree has the best cooling in hottest of temperatures.... its as good as mr slim when it comes to cooling...

Another good, thing about gree is its ability to work on low voltage. Even 190v and it will work.

Pics of my Gree 1.5Ton and now it is 39C outside.And my Ac is running on 26C and i am feeling like i am sitting in AJK.
One thing more that its Turbo Mode is off right now.

I dont think so.

The room insulation also plays a vital role.In my room where direct sunlight hits i have installed chiks and those significantly improve cooling.Thr Ac cools the room in about 10 15min.

Try installing chiks outside your window, im sure it will improve cooling as most of the heat cones through the window.
