Best Bike in Pakistan

AoA- Pakwheelers,
I need help in making a decision.
I need to buy a suitable bike, and have shortlisted 3 bikes

1. Yamaha YBR 125
2. Suzuki GS 150 SE
3. Honda CB 150 R

My preference is comfort and I don't bother the looks, I haven't any problem with the sporty look of ybr and classic look of GS 150 SE. My only concern is comfort than economy because Whenever I used Honda CD 70 continuously for two weeks or more it caused me backache so I want to get rid of it by buying more comfortable bike.

All opinions are most welcome.

I don't know much avout the Pakistani bike market, but go to dealership and sit on them for around minutes. Most bikes in the same engine class have same performance and fuel economy. I suggest to grt the lightest one.

For comfort; go with GS150 but it has poor build quality and questionable reliability so keep that in mind! Spare parts are also hard to come-by and you'll have to rely on our local 'Hatora Mechanics' for tuning and maintenance which is kinda scary!

Second best is CB150F (It's an "F" at the end; not "R") which possess decent build quality but is over-priced because its imported. And being an imported bike, its spares will be expensive and hard to come-by.

And then we've The Yamaha YBR. Which has great build quality, very smooth, reliable engine (Better than CG125), parts are easier to come by (although they're a tad on the expensive side) and the market is full with after-market accessories like exhaust pipes, crash bungs, side panniers and top box. It may not be as comfortable as The GS or CBF but it's the best bike in Pakistan, after all things considered. Not only that; but Yamaha 3S Dealerships are located throughout big cities so getting it fixed from experienced and educated mechanics won't be a hassle.

Bro GS150 is very durable bike i am using it from last 4 years my bike has crossed 35k+ on odo it is very comfortable+smooth+powerful+well gripped bike in 4 years bike does not demand any kind of parts except brake pads or routine maintenance i know its mechanics are not available everywhere but believe me this bike does not demand any kind of work YBR lacks in power on other side CG125 is nothing except than a PHAATA bike means if you ride on it you are sitting on phaata no offence to any one

Okay bro I was already in fav of gs 150 se but after reading the comments of different people on different threads of this forum that the built quality of gs15 is inferior to ybr and even 125 so I was a bit confused now you again brought me on the track and I will definitely go for it over ybr if that is the case. 35k is a lot for my need. I had a 125 which I bought zero meter in 2003 and now going to replace it with this one even that is at 17k on odo in 15 years so I will make 35k on its odo in next 30 years in other words it is going to be my life partner for rest of my life coz I will only use it occasionally.

And this story goes on to tell the Build Quality of GS150. From what I've gathered from Pakwheels so far; the bike is prone to front fork oil leakage, the rear suspension gets wobbly after a few years of usage, the electrical wiring is prone to catastrophic failure, the engine is also prone to ceasure when operated at high RPMs for prolonged periods (As seen in the thread linked above) and the bike sometimes emit thick smoke which probably means that the gaskets are paper thin.

GS150 also lack a disk-brake which I consider a deal-breaker as I personally use 70 : 30 front : rear brakes when the pavement is dry.

P.S You said you'll clock 35,000KMs in 30 years. And if that's really the case then I wonder why 'comfort' is your top priority? I initially thought you were going to clock thousands of kilometers per year! Must be a misunderstanding from my end, I think?

Thanks for the feedback now let me explain
1. GS15SE equipped with front disk brakes.
2. I have a civic x which I use for my routine travel daily.
3. I want to buy a bike because I lives in small city where markets are even narrower, you can't go on cars or park the car nearby plus it limit your reach so I need a bike to enter into those main markets with family at fortnightly or monthly basis for shoping etc.
4. I have a cg125 for this purpose that was okay since 2003 for the above mentioned purpose but last year when I sold my Corolla and booked civic x oriel I had left no choice to ride on bike for that one month period and I rode on it for travelling from office to home and back daily a total of 6-7 kms but after continuous usage of cg125 for only 7 kms daily for 10 days I felt severe backache.
5. I got afraid of that backache and decided to change it even for the minimum usage and even if in future I need it again for more often I want to be confident so I am primarily focused on comfort.
6. It is worth mentioning here that I am a 34 year old man who is a sportsman and do exercise regularly for fitness. I can walk 7-8 kms daily for months without any backache so it was a serious concern for me to take precautions in this regard as well if you don't mind
7. I have to ride it with family means my wife and little son so I will prefer gs150se over ybr and Honda 150 which are not comfortable for both kids on the fuel tank plus female at the rear seat.
8. I am also following and waiting for keyways superlight to launch.

Any other suggestions are always welcome.

Well, The GS150 isn't your only choice. There's this bike:

It has a 'plank' like seat, the fuel tank is 'peanut' styled and it comes with all the reliability and quality one would come to expect from Yamaha. As for concerns regarding performance; it might be a 125cc engine but it has a higher 10.0:1 engine compression ratio compared to GS150's (Which is actually 145cc) 9.0:1.

More compression > powerful combustion > more HP!

And to accommodate the extra heat and friction generated from higher compression ratio; the engines are built with tighter tolerances and better build materials.

Thing is; GS150 has a bad and questionable reputation. There's a reason the likes of Suzuki GD110 and Sprinter have completely disappeared from the scene and you rarely see them on the roads anymore! And there's a reason why The GS150 has practically ZERO resale value! It'll loose 30,000 Rupees worth of value the moment you purchase it!

In the end; it's your money and your bike. And I'm just a stranger who's trying to save your hard-earned cash!

Can you guide me on one thing? I want to ask if it is possible that I bought ybr g and replace the tank with aftermarket ybr z? Is it possible? And one more thing to add that ybr z I had seen on the show rooms doesn't have aloy wheels and disc brakes but the picture you shared have it.

I am owner of Suzuki GS 150 and i do admit it has some quality issue's but not as much as you have stated and many of those have been resolved in GS 150SE.
That engine seizure case you have been talking about can happen to any bike if not taken care of you should have seen the number's of brand new Honda CB150F at honda workshops there for warranty claims for engine seizures and other stuff.
I have used the bike amost 8k km's and that too mostly on highways on higher RPMS the engine in my bike is in healthy shape and even it doesn't need a valve/tappet adjustment for 12-15k km's like the YBR does every 3k km's before any further discussion on YBR i know that bike really well and my cousin owns one i know the weaknesses of that so called higher compression engine you mentioned about. On paper that bike will look and feel good but the reality is different.
Also there is a huge build quality difference between Yamaha YBR'S and YBZ the difference in quality of part's is huge.

My dear i mostly run my GS150 on Higher 9000+Rpms mostly my bike runs at the speed of 110km/h on 25km one way patch in 4 years period its engine never loose its power+pick up never heated in end i will say all suzuki bikes got ruff & tough engines

& Now come to yamaha bikes YBR+YBR G both bikes are good in body parts quality but every yamaha bike engine noises are different i have seen & listen mostly yamaha bikes engines were making clutch buxa ghoon ghoon sound i was gone to yamaha showroom to see to YBZ there was a new engine started YBZ was standing out side from show room i accelerated it & checked that YBZ thoroughly clutch buxa ghoon ghoon noise was present in that new bike. YBZ has very low quality build up its paint+other body parts are also very low quality
