I bought this unit for 48000 and it's one ton inverter ac. It is giving me quite good performance and the room is also not covered it is in contact with sunlight from 4 sides and only one side is covered and it still gives amazing performance.

bro sunni sunai pe na jayen check its ampere on how much its working.Mine GreenAir max goes to 3.9amp in outer temp of 48C.

There is no wrong, they are just not performing up to the mark in lahore as one would expect. That is all. I have seen better performance from other brands.

all acs give good performance. the pt of concern is if it reduce amps after achieving desired temp or keep running on full load.

my bro in law purchased Gree 1Ton last week. then we bought 2 Inverters for our home - 1Ton Haeir and 1Ton Dawlance Elegance series. Gree was for 61k+, Haeir for 49500 and Dawlance for 48k. performance wise Dawlance is far far better than both of these - the air throw is terrefic. so my experience says:

Dawlance Elegance > Haeir > Gree. so i can safely say Gree is too much overrated.

regarding PEL, all the dealers said that its not an energy efficient AC at all. and we do not recommend it. i have not done any research just heard word of mouth on this claim

Gree is indeed overpriced and over rated.

Dawlance is pretty good for what it offers at reasonable price, followed by Orient.

Dawlance had been acquired by some strong Turkish group lately and it has been under their control ever since. So it's pretty good.

We all know that minimum 2-4k bill is there for just home appliances apart from AC, so your two ACs are consuming just 2.5k each monthly bill, that too on heavy usage which you are claiming.

Instead of GreenAir AC, tell us which "power efficient" electricity meter are you using?

the ac showroom guy was telling me that there is energy saving ratio for these ACs. the maximum number is 4 and sets like Mitsubishi/Daikin reach this level of efficiency. the second category of Haeir/Gree/Dawlance reach around 3.5-3.4 rating. but i dont know why he was saying PEL is nearly 3 and is very bad in terms of energy conservation.
