YES. Best of luck! But Just regularly keep on checking the engine oil level on dipstick, and if it drops, then note after how much kms, it drops, and what is the oil reduction pattern?

In general, people which have / had Passo with high Kms on odometer, did not had good experiences with 0w-20 (as oil reduction was huge), that's why I am sharing my concerns.

Yes 0-20 might reduce with low compression engine. The reason i opted for 0-20 even my milage is around 100k was that Alhamdullilah my engine is very sound and can handle this low viscous oil.
However i'm gonna keep a strict eye on the oil level and will share the results after some kms !

NOPE. That's the misconception. It even reduced when compression was Great. Anyways, I am not commenting any further and should stop now.

In case of 1Kr-Fe it'll be swapped as its a disposable engine. Repairing might not be feasible

Nope dear brother. No engine is disposable unless / until it is damaged beyond repair, or, mechanics are not there who can rebuild it, or, genuine, OEM engine parts are not there.

If all the engine parts are available, competent mechanics are there who can rebuild / overhaul the engine as per factory specs, then rebuild / overhaul is of course possible, and its best! Its much much better than swap.

1KR-FE is not a disposable engine. It can be rebuild / overhauled, as its parts are available. You just need a competent mechanic to do the job.

0w20 is the right oil for it.

Just keep an eye on the dipstick. Don't wait 3,000km to check. Start at 1,000km.

Toyota also says some oil consumption is fine. Don't be too alarmed.

But what if I say? the engine oil level on the dipstick remained the same, even after 5,000 Kms on 1 KR-FE 2015 model Vitz, and 1 KR-FE 2013 model Passo, which I have owned in the past.

Both driven around 45,000 Kms, the time they stayed with me, and oil poured was ZIC A+ 5w-20 fully synthetic (always changed after 5,000 Kms along with oil filter).

Although dipstick is not the yard stick for measuring exact quantity of engine oil, but still... It gives fair idea.
